“I’ve recently moved to Cheadle and I’m trying to navigate its many options for a goody night out. Many from the area recommend Yara. Fortunately, it lived up to the hype. The evening was a happy occasion, with visiting family from Yorkshire, and the staff & food made it a wonderful evening. Just enough attention was given to us by the staff, who left us to enjoy our food. Which was all wonderful; the hummus dip starter might have been the best hummus I’ve ever had; creamy and rich and to die for. The option to bring your own booze was also a welcome addition, helping to lead to a very reasonable final bill.”

“Great service, friendly staff. The place was busy and a good atmosphere with a live singer on Saturday night. The food was amazing, I had the grill Ribeye which was stunning, my partner had the salmon which was a very good size and cooked very well. The desserts were enjoyable and the cocktails were good. Excellent choice of wine for a good price and I would recommend the montepulciano.”

“I just love this place. It costs maybe a tiny bit more than the competition but what you get in return is wonderful. Onion rings are actual rings of onion in batter and not of that reconstituted onion paste everyone else uses. The quality is just amazing. Their salmon sandwich is just stuffed with smoked salmon. The food is of the highest quality, the service staff are lovely. The food they serve is beautiful.”

“This was a very random visit, walked past Zena and decided to try- one of the best random decisions I've made. The owner was a great host, we walked in when the kitchen was almost closing but he spoke to the chef on our behalf. The restaurant's cosy and food is AMAZING. “We had a meal here on Saturday night to celebrate Mothers Day with the in-laws. We cannot fault anything. Service was spot on, the food was incredible, and the drinks menu was great. I had the prawn salad to start and the lamb for main. All perfect. My wife is a vegetarian and was very pleased with everything on offer. I generally find beers in restaurants are very average on choice, and especially draught beer in restaurants to be flat, or not poured correctly, but I was in for a surprise. Not just the fact they had Neck Oil on the menu on draught, but it was a very good pint. If I had to give 6 stars I would. Very impressed.”
