“Paulicarus tells me I have been here before but if so, I have no memory. Nice Tapas bar with upstairs kitchen and toilets. Paulicarus brought Mum for early Mothers Day treat. Loved every dish. A gooey centred tortilla. Crispy belly pork. Lovely beef stew. Calamari, peri peri, veg stew etc. Definitely come back. Lovel sherry to finish.”

One of them being live music. Sometimes it is heavy metal though... my favourite meal is the quesadilla with home made chips and a shake (not decided on my favourite yet). “First visit this Saturday to Rawtenstall in years. What a nice and busy town it is. Little old fashioned market stalls. Plenty of places to sit down. Had a pizza and coffee in the La Turka Bistro and can recommend it. Beautiful clean eatery and toilets, friendly efficient staff, lovely decor and most important, very good food. Their lattes are under £3 which is unusual these days. I will definitely go there again. Pity my once lovely home town of Accrington has now nothing to recommend it.”

“We had a meal here on Saturday night to celebrate Mothers Day with the in-laws. We cannot fault anything. Service was spot on, the food was incredible, and the drinks menu was great. I had the prawn salad to start and the lamb for main. All perfect. My wife is a vegetarian and was very pleased with everything on offer. I generally find beers in restaurants are very average on choice, and especially draught beer in restaurants to be flat, or not poured correctly, but I was in for a surprise. Not just the fact they had Neck Oil on the menu on draught, but it was a very good pint. If I had to give 6 stars I would. Very impressed.”

“The food is always good quality, it seems to have become a little bit more expensive than our last visit. £15 a Tandoori Mixed grill, mains around £13 with rice extra. The staff were helpful and attentive and alcohol prices reasonable for a restaurant. Top marks for getting the No Fresh Coriander right and for pointing out that one of the relishes had coriander leaves in it. Prices still the same, so relatively cheaper! Still the same quality and friendly staff.”

“We held a family party for around 50 people at Mellor &Townscliffe. The venue was lovely - big room which we were allowed to decorate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The buffet was delicious and plenty of it. Private outdoor space for the kids to run around in. It was a perfect day and couldn't have gone better. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Peruga!”
