“A superb restaurant. We visited twice in a space of a month after getting a take away from them while at friends of ours. On the first visit, there was a very noisy table of 10 people and the waiter offered to move us downstairs, which was perfect. The food was good from the takeout but in the restaurant it was fabulous. Last night was our second visit and thankfully, although the restaurant was full, the atmosphere was very pleasant. Service was excellent and if I could ask for anything to be changed at all, is to ask for our food to come soon after the popodums and dips. It seems the popularity of the restaurant making it particularly busy on Saturday night on the takeout side, so while orders go out to be collected we had to wait for our food a little more than we'd want to. Again, this would never stop us from going again as it is simply one of the best Indian meals we had for a long time!”

“Is it the pasta or the sauce? Set aside any fears of school dinner Mac and cheese, Sugo is on a different level altogether. Having lucked out on getting a table after 2 years of living nearby, I relished the chance to review them. The space is warm but snug. Large parties will struggle especially with COVID restrictions. Not an issue in summer, but a possible one in Winter. They’re dog friendly as they have some seating outside, so please specify this when booking. Onto the primi piatti! Expect luscious pasta cooked to the correct side of al dente. It seems to inhale the sauces that make use of the starch and premium stock in lieu of cream. All making for a far more palatable meal. And the sauce. The term does not do the flavours and texture justice. The melange of spices and components be they vegetarian or not, are sublime. Just a taste of the seafood pasta alone conveyed everything in one bite. Not to be outdone, their beverage selection is nothing short of brilliant. The chinotto brought back fond memories of Kinni cola. Sadly I did not have time to partake of dolce but will endeavour to do so next time.”

“Definitely a hidden greek gem in Eccles. I came here with one of my best friend that she is greek and se highly recommended it. Staff were very friendly and so happy to explain me which was the best way to try the dishes. Food is extraordinary and also massively loaded, each bite all the sauce and food was going everywhere. The food was served very quickly with great presentation. All was very fresh too. They had great selection of starters. And mains. I highly recommend the "Mutabel" with pomegranate sauce and the Aleppo Kebab, one of the best kebabs I ever had in a restaurant. The atmosphere was great too. “Had taken a few years sabatical from the Shethu but decided to retry last night. Have to say it was delicious. The sauces here have alway been fantastic and last night didn't disappoint. We had popadoms, onion bhaji, chicken tikka korma, lamb rogan josh, lamb dansak and tandoori chicken with rice and chapati. Price was excellent too. I'll be back very soon. Well done guys.”

“Easily the best Indian restaurant in the area. Been here for a sit down meal on several occasions. This evening, I had my first take-away and the quality is as consistent as dining in the restaurant. Menu has lots of good options so there is something for everyone. They even offer a 20% discount on all takeaway orders when you collect them in person and I cannot believe the value for money for all of the food I ordered. The food was ready when I arrived 20 minutes after ordering, as promised and the person serving me was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, excellent food and great service.
