“I’ve recently moved to Cheadle and I’m trying to navigate its many options for a goody night out. Many from the area recommend Yara. Fortunately, it lived up to the hype. The evening was a happy occasion, with visiting family from Yorkshire, and the staff & food made it a wonderful evening. Just enough attention was given to us by the staff, who left us to enjoy our food. Which was all wonderful; the hummus dip starter might have been the best hummus I’ve ever had; creamy and rich and to die for. The option to bring your own booze was also a welcome addition, helping to lead to a very reasonable final bill.”

“Great service, friendly staff. The place was busy and a good atmosphere with a live singer on Saturday night. The food was amazing, I had the grill Ribeye which was stunning, my partner had the salmon which was a very good size and cooked very well. The desserts were enjoyable and the cocktails were good. Excellent choice of wine for a good price and I would recommend the montepulciano.”

“This is a delightful place. You take your own alcohol which lowers the cost hugely. Mizan the waiter is excellent, quiet and polite. The food is wonderful. And lots of it.”

“My favourite spot for shisha near me. For £20 you can get a shisha pipe and a pot of tea to share with a friend, making for a pretty well priced night to enjoy. Considering how relaxed the atmosphere is and how friendly the owner is every time I come, I much prefer this place to any of the shisha spots on Wilmslow Road.”

“We had Sri Lankan curry, Kashmiri korma and seekh kebab. (home delivery) Sri lankan curry was excellent, tasty and spicy. The korma was good. The kebab was ok (I believe that with the delivery it loses heat and taste). They also provide a side included (not everyone does that) . Overall it is a fine indian restaurant. It deserves 5 stars. The prices are ok as well. Not the cheapest though.”

“This is as good as it gets. Perfeclty cooked mixed grill starter, out-of-this-world garlic prawns, amazing curries, and fresh naans. Maybe the portions could have been a bit bigger, but you cannot complain because everything is so high-quality that the value for money beyond question. I will dream of this food. Very good staff make you feel looked after. Can't recommend it highly enough. No wonder it was almost full on a Wednesday evening.”

“I have so carried away with my gluten free burger I did not add photo's from my meal.... however please be aware the high level of customer service, a relaxed chill out vibe, great ambience in the centre of Cheadle, additionally the decor in the restaurant. “I've been to this pub a few years ago & found it to be a nice pub with a good carvery. I went there a couple of weeks ago & found it friendly, updated & the new owners trying so hard to make it work. Food lovely and staff helpful. I find some of the recent reviews picky & a little bit OTT? Not sure what their agenda is but I'll definitely be back tokeep a new business going!”

I would have to say much nicer than the Knutsford restaurant, with sounds of coffee cups slamming & cutlery thrown around... not relaxing! I'd definitely recommend Cheadle Hulme Gusto. Seating looks lovely for alfresco dining in the summer too. Lovely evening spent for my boyfriend's birthday, with his kids & their partners. All left very happy. Thank you.”

“Ordered five meals, everyone was dead pleased with what they got. Burgers are big and tasty without being too heavy and stodgy. Fries are fat and delicious; the seasoning was lovely. Oh and the wings! Had both buffalo and BBQ. If you're in a quandary and not sure which to get, just treat yourself and get both. Staff were cheerful and attentive, shop was clean. This is still a great local pub in Cheadle village. A great range of Hyde's beers at a very reasonable prices. Well worth trying to see the changes & sample some excellent beer.”
