“Lovely restaurant and owners! We went here for the first time tonight on the spare of the moment and we weren't disappointed. Warm welcome on our arrival, table available in the bright and well appointed restaurant. Good menu choice options for meals and smaller plates and the owner took the time too talk us through options. The food was really tasty, well presented and quick to serve. Great service throughout and I will come back again and do recommend. The place has only been open for a few months so far but is already offering great food in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Cost more than plenty of restaurants, but not ridiculous either considering it was all very nice. A few reviews mention weirdness with the staff (probably gone now), we had nothing like that. My images show the haddock starter with sweet chilli and ginger, and my dessert. Sorry forgot the pic of my main course, the steak and peppercorn Just note that if you are funny about trying new things with this as a French restaurant, the menu descriptions were in English, and while there's plenty of fancy things, you can still have twists on very English choices. Cost £38 for 2 courses on the Xmas menu, then paid more for desert and drinks”

“Visited on opening weekend- delicious authentic food and cocktails, and so reasonably priced! A nice touch with the Indian gins too. Great to have a new Indian restaurant in South Manchester, I’ll definitely be back to try out more dishes! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and parking was easy on nearby residential streets- not too far to walk which was ideal!”

“Gorgeous cafe. Fits right in with the Underbank development. The coffee is fab and the vegetarian breakfast (smashed avocado with poached eggs and halloumi) was amazing but it's the little touches that nailed it for me: 1. an umbrella stand and a coat stand, ideal when it's a soggy day outside (no dripping all over the cafe) and; 2. a steak knife to cut the sourdough toast. Much underrated. I spotted the cakes as I paid and went back later to sample. The Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake was incredible. Try the mushrooms on toast. Amazing.”

“My husband and I drove for 4 hours to try out Loaf sofas and it was very worthwhile journey. The staff immediately offered us a welcome bottle of chilled water, they let us browse but were attentive when we had questions, they were very generous with their time but with absolutely no hard sell and they were very knowledgeable about the products. We returned home very content with the sofa, armchair and chaise we have chosen and we look forward to seeing them in our new home. The atmosphere is very warm, the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, the drinks are well priced and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the sharing platter for two and we're fighting over who got what as it was all so good! This was my first time visiting but it definitely wasn't my last, I absolutely recommend a visit if you're in the area!”

Me and my friend ordered the fried chicken nasi lamek, kind prawn sambal, roti and chicken satay (the most tender and juicy chicken satay I’ve ever had in my life! Omfg) everything was unreal, cooked to perfection. We also got to chat with Aunty Lotus herself! Everything in this place really feels like your eating round your Malaysian / Asian aunties house! “Today I went to Linguine for my best friends 21st birthday meal. There were 9 of us in total and the staff at the restaurant made sure to seat us on a large table with plenty of space. The table was very clean and set up lovely. The staff were very welcoming and friendly from the get go. The staff made sure that nobody was left without a drink and would regularly ask if we needed anything else. The waiting time for food was short and the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The food portions were very generous and very good for the price! The staff also brought out a birthday cake and everyone sang happy birthday. It was a lovely meal for my friends birthday all thank you to the staff at the restaurant. They definitely made our evening. I will be returning:) Thank you so much for such a wonderful night.”
