“Was recommended this place years back when a student living in Manchester and loved their curries. Lived in many other cities due to jobs but relocated to the North West about 15 years ago and was delighted to see my old haunt was still going strong and run by the same family who treated me like a log lost friend when I popped in for a take away. I've now got my OH and the kids to enjoy the delights of this gem of a take away. My personal favourite chicken madras and naan bread but we've not had a poor dish from there. My kids love the korma and tikka masala and we always try another dish as the OH doesn't have a particular favourite, as long as its curry from there he's happy. This place is a real treat for us, living 30 mins away we don't go weekly but it is the best Indian take away we've visited and our food is still piping hot when we get home so its well worth the trek. The owners are a lovely family and always make you feel welcome, their food is amazingly good I cannot rate them highly enough.”

“Hidden Gem! Can’t express how amazing this place is! Really heart warming and wholesome food. You can definitely tell it’s cooked with tradition and love for their cuisine. Me and my friend ordered the fried chicken nasi lamek, kind prawn sambal, roti and chicken satay (the most tender and juicy chicken satay I’ve ever had in my life! Omfg) everything was unreal, cooked to perfection. We also got to chat with Aunty Lotus herself! Everything in this place really feels like your eating round your Malaysian / Asian aunties house! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.”

Service was impeccable and the waiter was helpful in choosing a wine that I could enjoy for my starter and main course. We even managed to get a slice of the infamous custard tart which was delightful.”

I’d really recommend the Cavatelli ‘verdure’ for main and the burrata. The restaurant was really busy, and had a good atmosphere and prices were really affordable given the quality of the food. We were early but got seated promptly. I kinda expected a large restaurant but was surprised by the small homely vibe to it. The staff were lovely with their recommendations on the menu. We began with two starters a battered aubergine flower filled with cheese and lamb skewers. Both were excellent. Then my pumpkin goat cheese ravioli was really nice. My friend got the black pasta with black garlic. I liked that one better, and my friend preferred my dish. The Italian style cola was a surprise. I got free biscuits. Food was delivered on time and all aspects of it were absolutely spot on, not greasy and tasteless at all (as I find many Chinese takeaways usually are). “Always a good here here, the kebabs are huge. One of the few places which ask for a little less meat and a tonne more salad are happy to do that. They are happy to make changes to your chosen item too. Delivery is fast too.”

“Ordered a full English from here first time ever. I rang quite close to closing time aswell. Most cafes wouldn't of served me so close to closing never mind producing a high quality breakfast. I normally use just eat or uber eats but chanced a call here today instead. Not only was it cheaper than online but the quality was far better. I actually enjoyed a delivered cafe brakefast for the first time in ages. I just wish I took a picture to upload. Portion was great bacon cooked just how I like and I actually ate it all. I highly recommend this cafe to others and will definitely be going back”

“My husband and I were looking for somewhere a little bit special for our last date night before our first baby arrives in the next few weeks, and I found Khau Galli online. We booked a VIP Pod, and had such a wonderful evening! The food was incredible, the staff and service were brilliant, and the whole unique dining experience in the pod was fantastic. There was even an Alexa in each pod so you can have whatever music playing that you like, which was a lovely bonus touch. We’ll definitely be going back again in the future, and I highly recommend it to anyone!”

“Nothing beats their karahi cooked in ghee and chapli kebabs. They cook fresh food , you have to wait 20 to 30 mins but it's worth it. If you are not fussed about the decorations and how fancy the restaurant is, then eating from the karahi itself is even better. Reasonable price as well”

One of the only Indian takeaway places I know that offer quorn as an option for vegetarians as oppose to just vegetable options and the Quorn Bhuna was amazing! I went for my standard first order of a Lamb Tikka Madras, the lamb was tender, not at all chewy and the Madras had a lot of flavour. It was on the milder side of some Madras I've had but would order it again!”

“I have ordered from here multiple times, I received my food tonight and it was freezing!!! I rang the restaurant straight away, they replaced the food and received a hot meal! The staff where very helpful and dealt with my complaint in a professional manner! By the sound of it they have had a few problems with the delivery driver previously delivering other customers their meal cold! I happy that they rectified it as this is one restaurant I really do enjoy.”
