“After having a very very cold bus trip for 4h this restaurant was our salvation. From the outside one does not know what to expect, but once the door was opened we really got surprised. The warm and nice atmosphere inside made us enjoy the delicious lunch even more. The Spätzle tasted truly authentic, but at the same time had a touch of originality. We strongly recommend the Spätzle “Guanciale” (sadly not on the photos), which are a beautiful mix of different countries traditional plates. All in all this restaurant is something different and offers a nice variation of very interesting dishes and drinks. We strongly recommend it :)”

“Was recommended this place years back when a student living in Manchester and loved their curries. Lived in many other cities due to jobs but relocated to the North West about 15 years ago and was delighted to see my old haunt was still going strong and run by the same family who treated me like a log lost friend when I popped in for a take away. I've now got my OH and the kids to enjoy the delights of this gem of a take away. My personal favourite chicken madras and naan bread but we've not had a poor dish from there. My kids love the korma and tikka masala and we always try another dish as the OH doesn't have a particular favourite, as long as its curry from there he's happy. This place is a real treat for us, living 30 mins away we don't go weekly but it is the best Indian take away we've visited and our food is still piping hot when we get home so its well worth the trek. The owners are a lovely family and always make you feel welcome, their food is amazingly good I cannot rate them highly enough.”

“What an amazing experience this was. Currently this week on a training course in the area and we stopped off to have an authentic beautiful and delicious meal. Incredibly friendly service would not hesitate to come back. Such a lovely restaurant which proves that individual restaurants are the best. The place is full of personality and friendliness. “Hidden Gem! Can’t express how amazing this place is! Really heart warming and wholesome food. You can definitely tell it’s cooked with tradition and love for their cuisine. Me and my friend ordered the fried chicken nasi lamek, kind prawn sambal, roti and chicken satay (the most tender and juicy chicken satay I’ve ever had in my life! Omfg) everything was unreal, cooked to perfection. We also got to chat with Aunty Lotus herself! Everything in this place really feels like your eating round your Malaysian / Asian aunties house! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.”

“Is it the pasta or the sauce? Set aside any fears of school dinner Mac and cheese, Sugo is on a different level altogether. Having lucked out on getting a table after 2 years of living nearby, I relished the chance to review them. The space is warm but snug. Large parties will struggle especially with COVID restrictions. Not an issue in summer, but a possible one in Winter. They’re dog friendly as they have some seating outside, so please specify this when booking. Onto the primi piatti! Expect luscious pasta cooked to the correct side of al dente. It seems to inhale the sauces that make use of the starch and premium stock in lieu of cream. All making for a far more palatable meal. And the sauce. The term does not do the flavours and texture justice. The melange of spices and components be they vegetarian or not, are sublime. Just a taste of the seafood pasta alone conveyed everything in one bite. Not to be outdone, their beverage selection is nothing short of brilliant. The chinotto brought back fond memories of Kinni cola. Sadly I did not have time to partake of dolce but will endeavour to do so next time.”

We were early but got seated promptly. I kinda expected a large restaurant but was surprised by the small homely vibe to it. The staff were lovely with their recommendations on the menu. We began with two starters a battered aubergine flower filled with cheese and lamb skewers. Both were excellent. Then my pumpkin goat cheese ravioli was really nice. My friend got the black pasta with black garlic. I liked that one better, and my friend preferred my dish. The Italian style cola was a surprise. I got free biscuits. Food was delivered on time and all aspects of it were absolutely spot on, not greasy and tasteless at all (as I find many Chinese takeaways usually are). “Went after the footy match and wow, it was certainly worth the wait. I opted for the Tokyo bowl. Chicken Katsy curry, rice, crispy seasoned chips, and a couple veggie spring rolls with a spicy/sweet dipping sauce. The rolls were lovely and crisp, but the dipping sauce really made them pop. The fried we great, esp when you dipped them in the Katsy curry. The chicken was well seasoned and had a nice crispy exterior. The only issue I have is there was hardly enough Katsy curry, so I had to order an additional pot! Please put a little extra curry on the dish guys! Nonetheless, reasonably priced and tastes great!”

“Always a good here here, the kebabs are huge. One of the few places which ask for a little less meat and a tonne more salad are happy to do that. They are happy to make changes to your chosen item too. Delivery is fast too.”

“Ordered a full English from here first time ever. I rang quite close to closing time aswell. Most cafes wouldn't of served me so close to closing never mind producing a high quality breakfast. I normally use just eat or uber eats but chanced a call here today instead. Not only was it cheaper than online but the quality was far better. I actually enjoyed a delivered cafe brakefast for the first time in ages. I just wish I took a picture to upload. Portion was great bacon cooked just how I like and I actually ate it all. I highly recommend this cafe to others and will definitely be going back”
