“Excellent place to visit for both adults and kids. Indoor tropical greenhouse with orange, banana and other tropical plants. Also an arboretum with a variety of trees and a vegetable/friut/herb garden. Add to that the children's play area, and the mini-zoo and you have a great half-day out.”

“I went for my two covid jabs here. The whole set up was well organized. The volunteers were very helpful and made sure all was safe. They took u temperature and when u had the jab they made sure all was ok.”

“My son had his birthday party at the Crossley Centre this weekend and I can honestly say it was an amazing venue. Total value for money and such a large space, we had room for an indoor bouncy castle and still loads of room for all the kids to play and enjoy themselves. Would highly recommend to anyone. “Visited on Sunday 18th April 2021 - Pay and Paddle / Self Launch With the current C-19 restrictions, we've not been able to get to the lake district for a while, and were looking for somewhere close to home for a relaxed family paddle. We have our own boats and equipment, so were looking for somewhere we could self launch and enjoy some family time. After speaking to one of their really helpful staff, Shannon, by email - we booked a two slots online for the early morning. Arriving about 15 minutes before our time to check in, we were issued with tags for our boats and given details on where we could paddle (there was a water polo game in progress in a small area, and in the afternoon the deeper end of the lake hosts powered craft and some open water swimmers. We were lucky with the weather, warm, sunny with only a slight wind - as otherers have mentioned, some areas of the lake are fairly shallow, however this didn't cause us to ground out either kayak, or struggle paddling. The water was exceptionally clear and there was plenty of wildlife - keeping a respectful distance - the kids enjoyed seeing the gees and swan nests. It was a great fun day out, exceptional value for money and one we plan to recreate as soon as we're able! Thank you to everyone on site!”

“I Celebrated my 50th Birthday Party here 30th April 2022. This place was Amazing. It had everything you needed for my event. The main hall was a great size for the amount of people that came. There is also another room which came in handy. Kitchen was spot on. very clean indeed. As food was to be served. Fridge, oven, microwave, was available. Toilets were were fresh and tidy. Firswood Community Centre I will give 10 out of 10 for Service. Sharon who runs the place, is so friendly and pleasant. I will definitely be booking here again. A lot of my guest have already booked in dates for future events. Everything you needed was catered for here. Other Venues hourly rate were twice the price, and not as good a service here. I didn’t have one complaint all night about anything to do with this centre. My birthday was a success, all thanks to Firswood Community Centre. ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“I had my daughters 4th birthday party here & when I say they went above and beyond, it was really special! I had booked the whole place out & the females who were working were amazing!! Helped me with all the decoration, setting the tables up, welcoming the guests, helping the children, setting up the children’s tables/parties. I had also ordered catering food for the adults, and the staff here has set it all up for me & made sure everything was perfect the whole way through the evening. I would definitely recommend Jungle J’s for parties, my daughter had the best time ever & all our guests had such a lovely time. Thank you so so much !!!”

“Great place for local kids parties, I do believe you can still hire out a bouncy Castle here with an extra cost of around £25 roughly of course this is a castle for inside use only. Local Zumba class also takes place here”
