“Gorgeous. Spotted it was now open while walking on the Fallowfield Loop (always thought the Loop could do with a coffeeshop ON the trail) and called it on the way back. A 20 minute way for a table because I was obviously not the only one to decide to visit. Small menu but a very good selection and the huevos rancheros are AMAZING. The strawberry shortcake blondie was excellent as well. Beautifully restored building with views out onto the Loop dependent on where you are seated. Lovely addition to Levenshulme.”

“UPDATE. This is definitely the best Indian in Darwen. Although not on the menu, they do do a cauliflower side and tonight I even took my own aubergine. PREVIOUS We went there last night, Wednesday, at 5.30 for a change from our usual Sunday venue. We were warmly welcomed and served drinks (two pints of Cobra). The heating was on. We ordered three poppadoms (which came with a far too big a pickle tray), 2 mains from their chefs recommended specials with a vegetable rice, a garlic and cheese naan and a portion of onion bahjis. It was absolutely delicious, faultless and plentiful. Giving The Akash a run for its money? Most certainly at £42.00 with complimentary Bailey's. The decor is lovely. Miminalistic muted greys with the colourful paintings as a beautiful contrast. Not too bright. The service was discreet and professional. Not overly friendly. Downside? The toilets reaĺly do need attention to finish the refurbishment. Thank you. We will return very soon. Looking forward to their Sunday buffet which they said, is coming soon.”

Authentic food but place gets messy due to busiest hours. They have restrooms on top floor but I don't think it's very comfortable place for wheelchairs users. “This was our first time here, but not our first teppen-yaki experience. From the moment we arrived Jason was the perfect host explaining the menu and taking into account my wife's dietary requirements. We ordered the fish and meat set menu. When the chef arrived the entertainment began, and what a showman as well as cooking the food he kept us entertained throughout our dining experience, he even asked how we would like the steak and lamb cooked. This won't be our last visit. Highly recommend.”

“The sportsman as seating inside and outside. Hard alcohol is sold here. The tapas menu is extensive, but the spicy meat balls and barbecue ribs cannot be beaten anywhere I ve been, abroad or here. The staff are friendly and professional. Parking is not a problem, but it is the car park for morrisons so times maybe a problem. I will keep going back if it's only for the tapas. There are plenty of ales on sale at very competitive prices. And a coal fire welcomes all visitors. Visited this public house many times. Staff friendly. Still a number of ales on sale. I have been here many times, the tapas is still the best around and the portions on most foods are huge. The staff are friendly and helpful, parking is a problem. Entrance is for all people. Prices are hugely competitive on alcohol and food.”

“Cheetham Star was closed for 19 months and finally its reopened. I really missed this place. Highly recommend their food, its usually delicious authentic middle eastern food, its fresh, especially the kobeda and chicken tikka on rice or naan. Really well made pizza's from here. Staff are friendly and the service is pretty quick, can eat inside or takeway. It can get busy at times. Really worth a visit. 5 stars!”

A gooey centred tortilla. Crispy belly pork. Lovely beef stew. Calamari, peri peri, veg stew etc. Definitely come back. Lovel sherry to finish.”
