“Went Friday evening with a few friends all I can say is we had a lovely time the food was absolutely gorgeous very good service we will definitely be going again great atmosphere even though the Elton John night couldn’t go ahead Trish the landlady did her best for entertainment and it turned into a karaoke night absolutely fantastic”

“A proper pub serving it's locals really well. Nice beer on the taps, sport on the telly, events in the evenings. And the place is literally spotless - there's a pub cat which initially put me off due to allergies but I never suffer there because the place is cleaned so well. Love it!”

“Fantastic cottage , clean, comfy with all mod cons to ensure a perfect stay. Located within walking distance of pubs, shops and restaurants. Based at the foot of kinder scout, ideal for walkers, cyclists, rasmblers or a chillax break for the whole family. Highly recommend, scenic, pretty cottage with great owners who can't do enough to ensure you are catered for during your stay :)”

“Love this pub, always feel welcome and Carl is an excellent landlord and he keeps the nicest pint of Boddingtons Bitter in the whole of Greater Manchester. Every single visit his beer is spot on. The glasses are always clean, the pub is too and all the customers are having a great time and there is never any mither. The staff are fantastic too. I totally love this pub.”

“My wife and I took our girls to celebrate booking a holiday in the U.S. The food was great. "Nicely American" for want of a better phrase. Tasty and reasonable price. The place was very busy (and so quite noisy, hence only 4 out of 5 for the atmosphere). But the team were on top of it with not long to wait for food. Great job. Our 'server', Savannah, was brilliant. So friendly, helpful and polite. Very attentive without smothering us. I noticed every time she passed our table she had a quick look to see if drinks needed refreshing, where we were at with food, etc. She (like the rest of the staff) were working really hard. Really enjoyed it and great food with great service made me want to go back again soon. Thanks!”
