“Visited today walking past and this is a fantastic pub,cozy and comfortable. Big selection of cask and keg. Tap house of the blackjack brewery who never disappoint. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Back to the way pubs used to be, there was a real sense of welcome on arrival, and also a lot of looks from the locals as I was a new face. I instantly got talking to the guy on the stool next to me followed by another local who also seemed keen to socialise. Quite a few in the big room watching football, a few people to the sides reading books and the papers. The fact its attached to a restaurant lends itself to staying for that extra drink, and taking a meal home to appease the wife! Really nice bar and environment, it's back to how pubs used to be, makes a really refreshing change.”

“The place delivers what it promises. If you want to have cheap chicken wings, this is your place. If you want to have cheap AND SPICY chicken wings. This is absolutely the place to be. I took 5 of the spiciest wings. I had to order milk after eating 2. The cocktails are quite good too.”

“Great Pub. Robinson's beers. Quiz night on Monday night. Open mike night on a Thursday. Pie night last Friday of the month. Also have a function room for hire. British Motorcycle Preservation Society meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month in the function room. All welcome whether you have a British bike or not, or are interested in older British Motorcycles. Our aim is to keep these bikes on the road. Plenty of people available to give advice and assistance.”

Booked in here for Lunch and can honestly say as an Ex Chef myself, The Mixed Grill was out of this world, The best I've had by a mile. My Steak was cooked to perfection. “Great food , the platter for one is excellent especially the chops and the kobedah style kebab much tastier than a normal one. We had this between two and also a chance chicken kebab for our two girls and an extra chips, hummus and there type of halloumi (not great) , we ordered extra bread which was a mistake as it was far too much which was partly down to the waiter telling us that should be fine. But we got one with the hummus so just one extra would have been fine not 3. The bread is delicious though. All in all a great meal we will be back just not as much bread next time. Plenty of food for us four. Beautiful building.”

“Went for tapas with a group of work friends and was not left disappointed! They put a tapas buffet on for us which included starters of salami, Spanish ham, olives, pitta, sundried tomatoes and salsa, followed by gambas pil pil, chorizo, patatas bravas, Meatballs and two types of chicken and garlic bread! Food was absolutely spot on and they accommodated a lady who had a gluten intolerance, she was well impressed! Only thing I'm upset about is not taking a pic!”

“Great pub, nice atmosphere and the food looks great. Limited beers as it's their own beers but there are run of the mill drinks. Nice pub to sit in on a Sunday. Had a chap playing guitar and singing, not loud but just enough. Highly recommended.”

“What an amazing pub and eatery! Been in a few times,the new chef has some tricks up his sleeves , had the steak burger and my girlfriend had the lasagne, probably the least daring choice on the menu and still blew us away! 100% recommend eating here, stayed for a few hours afterwards for drinks too!
