“Visited 25/10/2022, very popular location and lots of parking but fills up fast too. Great staff at the Timber Yard cafe, very helpful and getting requests done with ease for food and drink. Lots of walks to be done, family friendly and buggy friendly. Also steep incline to house from car park so there is a mini bus you can use to get you up to top with ease if you need it. The grounds are very scenic and worth a visit, highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Lovely country park, nice walk around the duck ponds and up to the waterfall, the forest is lovely to explore too. Parking ok, it gets busy at weekends and school holidays but we usually always manage to park up, there are toilets on both ends of the park which is handy with small kids, the cafe is nice too, reasonably priced and good selection. We usually buy duck food from the cafe to feed the ducks with.”

“Excellent, the cleanliness of the whole place is second to none, you know your on to a good thing with nice clean fresh menus. Staff really attentive and polite. We had five different meals and all were very good, we're looking forward to going back. Would definitely recommend. Well done and thank you.”

“Great food, friendly staff and owners. We arrived as we were walking in the local area and we were served great drinks, tasty food and sat right next to an open fire. It was a brilliant pub and we can’t wait to go back. We felt very welcome.”

“A wonderful park...BMX track which we enjoyed watching people use, different areas of the park including an area with sandpit, swings, slides, climbing apparatus, a zip line that was unfortunately broken, a small pond with ducks and a fantastic interactive game with silver poles that had built in touch screen games such as 2 people one is red one is blue and when your colour lights up on pole you hit it to turn it off - never seen before and it was a huge hit!!”

“We had a great visit yesterday for a family Sunday roast. The pub was really busy and still the service was amazing from start to finish. We had our drinks order delivered to our table within minutes of ordering. Roast dinner was brilliant. Great team that looked after us on a busy Sunday at peak time, the usual service we’ve come to expect and the reason we keep coming back! ❤️”

“Poynton Pups has been incredible at teaching our very loved puppy to socialise with confidence and enjoy the company of other dogs. Lockdown had meant that she was unsure of other dogs and people when we were out for walks. She is now a completely different puppy and we have seen her confidence grow hugely since being out with Poynton Pups and she comes very happy after her weekly walk with the pack.”

“I had my son's 5th birthday party here and he loved it. It's a great experience for children to meet different animals. My son particularly enjoyed walking the Alpaca. It's a party that is different from the regular soft play centres and you also support a local not for profit organisation.”

“Found Gemma’s Dog Boarding through DogBuddy and I’m glad I did! Right from initial consultation where Arnie, my golden Cocker Spaniel (elderly!), and I met her and her dog, through to picking him up a week later Gemma was great. Messages and photos meant I could keep up with how he was getting on. Everything was straight forward and she was always happy to help. 5 stars well earnt and I’d be happy to take Arnie back and recommend her to his friends’ owners.”
