“Rooms are a lovely size and very clean, staff are very hospitable, breakfast is good. Train station literally opposite, very convenient. Only downside is no parking however the NCP next door is half price as you validate your ticket when you stay.”

“Recently visited The Deanwater for a Business Meeting. A beautiful venue with plenty of space, lovely food and friendly staff. Plenty of space in the meeting suites, could of just done with access to a few more plugs for the laptops but on the whole would definitely return.”

“We have stayed at this PI regularly for about 15 years so that we can visit family. Even though team members have changed, it is still staffed by a great team of friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Thank you all! However, over the last couple of years, a very clear and "uncomfortable" demarcation has evolved between this PI and the associated restaurant. The restaurant has extremely rigid rules for eating times etc. and enforces them in a forthright manner... it makes the whole hotel experience unpleasant. We prefer to eat at the great Café in Tesco, a short walk away. The staff are really lovely and the food is good - far less stressful.”

“Spotless, modern rooms and facilities with old-time, personal hospitality, in this great local pub stay, after a day in the Peaks, or en-route somewhere. MUCH better than similarly priced options in the dull and disinterested franchise travel hotels in the area. .”

“Only called in as a visitor to see friends who were in town. Very pleased with the size of the room, great bathroom, tea making facilities, TV. Plenty of luggage room, hanging space and good sized bed. I'd definitely recommend it to other friends who stay in town.”

“Load of us stayed her for a few nights for a family wedding and we had the best time ever. The staff are amazing, went above and beyond for our help and needs. the rooms are fresh and clean. Vending machine, extra tea and coffee etc, clean bedding and towels all at reception in case you need more. Pity the old rectory didn’t have the same standards.”

“This was a quick sleep stopover between flights and I didn't have much of an expectation due to a recent stopover at another Travelodge. However, it was very clean and well maintained yet this is rated 2star?? (I stayed at Park Royal, where the carpet in the room was disgusting and toilet wouldn't flush, yet this was rated 4 stars!!!) Here at Stockport nothing was too much trouble as we checked in at 1am after a flight delay and this continued the following morning with excellent customer service from all staff. Definitely brought Travelodge back up the booking ladder for a stay in Manchester anyway.”

“Lynda and Ian has cared for our cat Ally on many occasions whilst we've been away. They are extremely professional and very loving towards her. Although she is shy with strangers they tell me she comes running up to them for a fuss on every visit. We have no hesitation in recommending their excellent service to others.”

“We had a very comfortable, well equipped room with ample Tea and coffee and biscuits available. Large TV with an excellent bathroom and walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Staff were very friendly and very helpful Andrea on reception was welcoming and efficient. The hotel is in a very peaceful, tranquil location it is a very old, listed building with character. Thank you to Scott the General Manager who gave us a tour of the night club which is undergoing a major refurb and uplift. A fantastic, atmospheric, period venue perfect for any occasion. We will definitely be returning when the hotel upgrades are completed in the summer.”

“I had my two huskies stay here for 3 nights and they absolutely loved it. They were treated like part of the family and it really is a home away from home for them. I’ll be using them again for our next trip away in the summer without hesitation!! Amazing facility and the dogs are so well looked after.”

“We have stayed here twice in the past & found Kevin to be the perfect host. How people who have never stayed there can comment on the Springfield based on a TV program says more about them than it does about Kevin. How would they like their business run down by people who have not used it? The room was perfect for our needs & the breakfast more than adequate & cooked exactly to our liking. Kevin even offered to give us a lift to a local club as it was raining. We plan on staying again in the near future as soon as the current situation eases and the Springfield will definitely be our first choice in the area. My advice to anyone thinking of staying here? Read reviews of customers & not sad couch potatoes.”

“The staff are fantastic at this hotel. I stayed with my dog and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a bit of noise from some of the other rooms but nothing too bad. Mainly young people enjoying themselves so it quietened down after a minute or so.”

“Dave has cut hair for myself and my family for more years than either of us care to remember! He’s reliable, easy to have around, and certainly does a good hair cut. My hair cut has developed over time, I love it and it very much suits me and my life style. My elderly fathers always looks forward to Dave's visits and a bit of a chat alongside his haircut. He also cuts my sons hair, my son has issues with having his hair cut, Dave is always respectful of that and makes him feel comfortable,. Three generations, all happy, highly recommend!”

“My two cats just spent a week at the cats whiskers. They hadn't stayed in a cattery before so we were very anxious about it. The staff were really understanding and kind putting us at ease. The cattery is really warm and clean. All the cats in there all look really relaxed and happy. My two have come back happy and healthy, would definitely use again and recommend to anyone who is nervous about putting their cats in a cattery.”

“Our dog Woody has been going to Olivia’s once a week for the last 18 months and I’d highly recommend it! He loves going and always comes back tired out from playing all day with the other dogs. We love the Facebook posts at the end of each day with loads of pictures of what they’ve all been up to, it always looks like they’re having lots of fun!”
