“Good place - they got out order wrong and had to pay an extra £7”

“Myself and my partner took my parents here on Saturday night when they had come up to visit. It was a fairly last minute booking so the only time available was 8.30pm but it was so worth it. We arrived a little early and it was very busy! There was a large group leaving and there were another large group sat down at the table. We were told we could wait at the bar and order a drink. The man at the bar was lovely, though clearly very busy dealing with drinks orders for tables as well as the 6 people standing at the bar, but we were happy to wait. By the time our drinks orders were done a table was ready and we were taken to be seated. Every member of staff was a delight in there. And the food? AMAZING. As we finished up our meal the chef came out to ask how our meal was. What a lovely guy! We had a little chat with him before leaving. As we left and got in a cab the chef came running out with my dad's phone and glasses he left at the table. Can't wait to go back. So glad we booked here.”

“I don't think they deliver, but it's worth collecting from as it's a very friendly, welcoming, nice place. I've ordered for pick up quite afew times and the food's ready not long after I arrive. This is a top Indian restaurant, I always order knowing the food will be top quality because they never let us down. It's always clean, it can get very busy during the bank holidays. There is parking at the back of Sainsbury's.”

“Oh, the lovely food! This is a brilliant true Middle Eastern experience. One where the don't push tons of cumin to be considered middle Eastern. Fresh ingredients with heart warming flavours and cooked over charcoal grill. Our second time here, it is just a delicassy!”

“A triple celebration found us heading for the Taverna. Although we had not booked ahead, the staff kindly accommodated us. The atmosphere was buzzing! Several languages could be heard amongst the diners. The food was divine and the selection of Armenian wines etc interesting. Look forward to returning.”

“What can I say? Incredible doesn't quite cover it. My niece and I went yesterday as a treat for her 30th birthday. We were greeted with a smile, the door opened for us, and promptly taken up to homage on the mezzanine level above the glorious and very impressive restaurant. We were seated in the most exquisite room, and both felt very special indeed. Our jackets were taken and hung, the menu's described to us. We each ordered a cocktail to start, and these were delicious . Amy had the special cocktail of the day which was aptly called lovely lady ( very fitting for my niece) and I really wanted something with an almond flavour, so one was created for me, very impressive. We then ordered our cheeses, 3 to start, and we paired these with wine. We followed this with even more of the extensive cheese selection. Again paired with wine. Each cheese has a chutney alongside it to pair with the flavour of the cheese. Some little bread roll, and some biscuits that basically melted in your mouth. I even had a dessert which was incredible, unfortunately I cannot remember the name of this, but it was a little like a creme brulle, with tonka bean flavour ( similar to vanilla) it had the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The room we were in was absolute luxury. There was relaxing background music, candlelight everywhere, very comfortable chairs, an extremely intimate feeling to it. We literally had the room to ourselves which made it feel even more special. The bathroom is situated on the same floor which is great. Last but by no means least , Michael was our incredible host, very knowledgeable about every wine and cheese, extremely professional, attentive and I would say an absolute asset to Wood. Thank you Michael for making our visit so memorable and special. I would highly recommend homage at Wood. You will not be disappointed.”

“Amazing food, so much thought, work and care had gone into each course. The flavours were amazing and they clearly use only the best produce. Dietary requirements were catered for without any bother. One of the best meals I have ever had! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! I honestly couldn't fault this restaurant , lovely ambience. I definitely recommend this place. Just go, you will not be disappointed! I can't wait to return!”

“A great place! Here you can find a lot of different small shops. Everything is handmade. You can buy a special and unique gifts here. I really suggest this place to everyone who loves find something different. You can also have a break in the coffee shop inside the building. Really really nice.”

“The food was good, as was the service. It wouldn't be fair to comment on the atmosphere as we called late on a Sunday night. Nothing was too much trouble for the guys there, and pizzas were served promptly. Really loved the sourdough texture.”

“First time trying blonde lady very friendly let us try sauce before ordering. Left pasta in photo is salmon and right picture is spicy chicken. Spicey chicken with mild sauce was really tasty glad I didn't have the spicey sauce as it would have been too spicy. Salmon was also tasty aswell which I never really eat. Decent portions we ordered two large pastas and two decent drinks for around 20 pound and we was that fill we didn't have the energy to finsh off shopping ha ha .”

“Some of the best Shawarma if eaten, period, and very reasonably priced at that, costing now £3.50 for a chicken shawarma wrap. Best thing for me is the freshly cooked bread with every wrap! - makes it! Thought this place had closed down until recently, but it just moved from the the tiny adjacent shop to next door. Glad to know the Manchester staple is back. Great friendly service also. Highly recommend!”

“This location has two Hyatt's the Hyatt House & Hyatt Regency. Offers free breakfast, the Laureate restaurant is excellent! The rooms are beautiful and large. We stayed in the Bed & Breakfast part of the Hyatt House room 1316. The rooms were up to date and very clean.”

“Very reasonable price and fantastic location. Room was spotless and good amenities. Iron and ironing board provided on request. Free wifi and tv in each room. Also spotless. If I had to fault, the maid walked in in the morning at 8am, she did knock and walk in but I didn’t think I would need to put the “don’t clean” sign on the door as we were only staying one night. But overall a pleasant experience and would definitely stay again!”

“Stayed here recently and it was a treat, from entering the staff were super helpful. The room was incredibly spacious and the shower area is not separated by a wall, so imagine you'd have to be close to the person you're staying with! For me, this wasn't an issue but maybe for some. The gym was great, small but decent kit and the sauna and steam room a total treat too! The breakfast has loads of choice and again, staff very friendly. I would LOVE to go back soon. There is a mini art gallery on the first floor too and it is in a great location, close to Deansgate Station, Oxford Road and so much more.”

“Really loved staying here. The room itself was very nice, stylish, functional and comfortable. The bathroom was fantastic, the kitchenette has everything you need to prepare your own meals (not that I cooked), and the wifi was very reliable. I was booked here by work to stay here for 3 nights and I was able to easily book an extra night myself and the hotel staff were able to easily arrange for me to stay in the same room and not have to check out and in again. I will likely stay here next time I'm in Manchester. The only negative thing I would say is that the lifts are slow or there are not enough of them, because I always had to wait and there always seemed to be people waiting to use them.”

“Great place to eat some nice Indian food. Some of the items are a bit expensive but I think for the flavours and portion size it's acceptable. Also environment is very traditional Indian and friendly staff. If you need like enjoying some nice Indian meals. I would reccomend Indian tiffen room.”

“Really decent spot ideal for a gig at the Albert Hall next door. Huge range of ale on offer, the burgers were awesome and cannot compliment the staff enough who made us feel welcome and offered great table service despite being busy the whole time we were there. I put a specific request on the table booking and got exactly what we asked for. It was very much appreciated. Easy to imagine a place like this being a bit too cool, staff being a bit detached, but not at all. Also decent indie play list on the whole time we were there. Top top place!”

“Vibrant area with plenty of restaurants. Arndale centre towers adjacent to the corn exchange which does not have a dedicated car park. Parking can be a nightmare for first timers. The adjacent shopping malls offer paid parking at a premium so allow some time to navigate the maze of road works, one way streets and the short walk to your destination.”

“Love this bowling alley, always got good offers for drink and bowl deals (think we paid £13 for two games and two drinks). Plus the arcade is decent and not too expensive either. Good central location too as it's right next to the tram stop, Shudehill bus terminus and Manchester Victoria station.”

“My experience every time I go to this restaurant is absolutely nice. Great customer service, serene environment and lovely ambience. The only issue is parking because it is located in a very busy area of the city. I would also prefer more comfortable seats. The high-five drink is super amazing. My overall experience so far is good and I will always revisit.”

“Great little Sushi place on the Old Market Square. The quality of the sushi is great and the prices are affordable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the freshly-made sushi arrived relatively quick. I will definitely be coming here again!”

“One of the best Turkish restaurant in the area. Beautiful seating hall. The seating area is very big but it was even on Wednesday afternoon. But we didn't have to wait. The food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are big. Other than Hummas everything was so delicious. I won't recommend Hummas from this place. Very friendly and polite staff. And service was fast as well. No dedicated parking”
