“My partner has undergone 2 operations at the Spire this year, one NHS and one private. The care he received was equally excellent both times. I saw a notice for private GP appointments on one visit. I have been unable to get an answer on the phone, nor access the e consult for weeks at my surgery. We are not allowed to visit the surgery to make an appointment. In desperation I phoned the Spire, made an appointment to see a GP. I have seen Dr Coogan twice, had extensive blood tests, had all my questions answered and given advice to follow up. I could talk to him, felt very much at ease and do not regret one penny. This is what I will do in future, he is fantastic. I am lucky that I can afford to pay for a certain amount of treatment, and I shouldn't have to do this. But I am 78. It is quality of life, and worth every penny.”

“Have been with this surgery for approximately 16 years and have generally been happy with the service provided. The GPs I have seen in that time have been friendly, give you adequate time at appointments and have been reassuring with any issues raised. The reception staff have always seemed friendly to me. The only difficulty for me is getting appointments outside of my working hours of 9 to 5.30 which means taking time off work for appointments. However, this is an observation rather than a complaint as I would be surprised if there are many surgeries open late”
