“I have left reviews before about this coffee house I absolutely enjoy going there it is fantastic atmosphere and the staff are really great but I think personally it needs one thing is for the outside area to be covered as my partner who is disabled does sometimes find it hard to find a seat inside but when it rains there is always space outside so ideally it needs to be covered so please can something be done to accommodate it we enjoy sitting outside drinking the best coffee in sale”

“Ordered pizzas and garlic bread online for my son and his girlfriend to celebrate his 16th and it was ready within a few minutes of the requested time, fresh, hot and tasty. Plenty of toppings on the pizzas - went down a treat!”

“I'd recommend everyone to head down for a lovely walk and to have some cake and a beverage. Such lovely people who run the cafe who have showed such kindness to our friend Nigel who loves visiting. A definite recommend.”

“Very friendly staff very helpfull. A good range of stock from drinks n tins n Frozen food to drawing pins fuses glue etc. You pay a bit more then the supermarket but worth it for the good service n to keep local shops going”

“Really charming little cafe. We were in Manchester for an event and stopped in here as somewhere local to where we were staying. Rather than just being a convenient place to eat Sunday brunch, the menu was varied and all of us enjoyed the meals we ordered. The staff were lovely, really friendly. Would definitely recommend.”

“Serendipitea is our local! Birthdays, anniversaries or just any excuse for a Gathering Of The Clans - we're here! This isn't just a café, it's a proper community hub. The food is fantastic quality, the staff are lovely and they take pride in serving their community and giving back. They DO cater for veggies/vegans/allergy sufferers - but their sausages are EPIC! If your dog is well-behaved, they're welcome too.”

“Our 4th afternoon tea tray from here, never fails to please - plenty of very fresh sandwiches, savouries, little cakes, scones, clotted cream & jam, fruit.... superb value and excellent quality”

“Manchester on a Sunday Morning for Bruch was a lot busier than we thought. Luckily we got a table at Idle Hands. I'm super glad we did. Lovely atmosphere. We ordered and shared: Meaty Hash Brown Stack and Divorced Eggs. Both tasted fantastic. Food came quickly and was presented like a work of art. It was so good, I really can't recommend it enough. I ordered one of their famous pies and can tell why. I got the Banana Milk Pie and it was so light and creamy. Top marks.”

“Only had cake and a drink but service was quick and friendly. Breakfasts looked fantastic and the number of people ordering them speaks volumes for popularity and quality, so don't believe you'd be disappointed. Would recommend and likely have a breakfast next time!”

“A warm relaxing ambience , open mic nights, a VERY reasonable variety of 'non-coffee' beverages - on Draught, bottle or can, a variety of comfortable seating, some basic dining options with any manner of takeaways welcomed, clean restrooms... need I go on? And they have great coffee! Excellent place to chill with friends.”

“We decided to try Sokrates for our first restaurant meal out after having just moved to Sale from Birmingham. I have a soft spot for Greek food, but being vegetarians we have found in the past it can be difficult to find authentic and tasty veggie Greek food in the UK. At Sokrates we had a great experience. We ordered the vegetable moussaka which comes served with a small portion of Greek salad, and the four dip selection which comes with a basket of hot pitta bread. We decided to share the good between us The moussaka was a very generous portion and easily fed the two of us. The flavour was incredible. A lovely warmth from the traditional spicing of allspice, nutmeg, clove, and bayleaf. The dips were also very tasty, I especially enjoyed the beetroot skordalia. It had a wonderful glow of garlic. The interior is that of a homely traditional taverna, with plenty of tables of different sizes. The staff are friendly and generous.”

“Called in unplanned for Sunday lunch with brother-in-law and my partner. It was quiet at first then after we ordered other groups arrived. From the outside the restaurant appears small but like a tar dis inside ,very clean and elegant and sophisticated. Staff polite and helpful give u enough time to order. Excellent selection of food to choose from, cooked to order and delicious with good portion control . Will return. Would recommend for ladies for baby shower and hen celebrations and family groups also. Manager told me they had ABBA night which was well attended so have requests for a return . Brilliant had lovely afternoon.”

“This costa coffee is situated off a busy main road. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There’s also a drive through which is convenient. Visited 10:30 on a Monday and no que for either drive through or in store. Staff relatively friendly. Guy on the till could have been more welcoming but he processed the order quickly so no issues. Coffee and food ordered was nice”

“Not local to the area, but nipped in for a cheeky road beer on the way home and was impressed by the selection of beverages on offer. Clean tidy store and shop keeper was friendly. Will be back”
