“PSBG is very much like McDonald's. The food is uniformly good no matter what you order and no matter when you visit. It's also value pricing. You'd easily pay twice for the same item at most other restaurants in the city. The staff are some of the friendliest you'll ever find. I've been coming here for nearly 10 years and have never been disappointed.”

This is not a chippy, this is the chippy, the preeminent chippy and all other iterations of chippy's fall flaccidly to the wayside against the earth shattering grandeur of this establishment. I cannot recommend this purveyor of food strongly enough - words are not sufficient. It's imperative we continue to finance this operation for the good of humanity.”

“The Mill is a fantastic place with a great atmosphere, whether it’s just passing in waiting for a train, or going in for a longer period. I would 100% recommend the food too as it’s tasty and really reasonably priced. The staff are also outstanding, they are always so helpful and quick with your food/drinks orders. They really are a credit to the place. It’s also very clean which is even better. I would 100% recommend coming here, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Caught these guys on the corner having a grand opening. Very nice eat in facilities, no where else in the area has seating. The O.T burger has been recommended and let me tell you those chicken burgers are delicious. The menu looks outstanding. Formidable chicken. Absolutely legendary stuff. Also greeted by very nice staff who are happy to help This is literally a game changer. Fresh, local and tasty. Meals are reasonably priced, box meal with chips and drink for less than £10. Drove past here and was eating my burger within the hour. We are very lucky to now have a decent burger/takeaway place in Failsworth, this area needed good fast food joint and here it is.”

“Can't recommend Fraser highly enough. Always get an excellent service. He's great with our dog who needed to be socialised properly after lockdown. Gave us some superb tips as to how to handle challenging behaviours, all of which worked a treat. Looking forward to a long working relationship!”

“After having a very very cold bus trip for 4h this restaurant was our salvation. From the outside one does not know what to expect, but once the door was opened we really got surprised. The warm and nice atmosphere inside made us enjoy the delicious lunch even more. The Spätzle tasted truly authentic, but at the same time had a touch of originality. We strongly recommend the Spätzle “Guanciale” (sadly not on the photos), which are a beautiful mix of different countries traditional plates. All in all this restaurant is something different and offers a nice variation of very interesting dishes and drinks. We strongly recommend it :)”

“This brewery outlet and restaurant has a pleasant green setting in Old Glossop with outdoor and indoor seating, helpful staff and imaginative options on the menu, including vegan and veggie ones - a lot of the options are light bites rather than full meals, and of course there are the various house beers. The pictured jerk chicken dish really was divine and as you can see also nicely presented. I liked the chef's dedication and enthusiasm. It's worth going to try some dishes that are a bit different, even if you're not big on beer. On that topic, I haven't the heart to deduct a star for it, but it is a shame that no alcohol-free beer is on offer, and secondly, I once ordered a home-brewed 'Hefeweizen' which is a German-style wheat beer cloudy with yeast in it, and it was served lukewarm. Being firstly German and secondly a refreshing summer drink this type of beer absolutely needs to be consumed properly chilled!”

“Excellent food, nice cosy atmosphere with an open fire. This is not a standard Robinsons food pub, it has local fresh produce prepared by a good chef, with nice little extras. Staff are always polite and the best thing for us is that we can go somewhere for an excellent meal with our dog, as they welcome dogs and always ask if you want water for your dog. Since we moved to the area a couple of years ago it is our favourite place to eat out without leaving our furry friend home alone.”

It's different from all other restaurants I have been to (in the best way possible), and I found it quite refreshing and exciting to try dishes that aren't so common and easily found elsewhere. “Firstly my photos are rubbish and don't capture the food as well as it should. Also, I forgot to take photos of the full sea bream in champagne sauce, or the bone marrow served with Pommes Anna, we just got too hungry and forgot! Pig's Head croquette - wonderfully crispy on the outside, with a strong fatty pork flavour which I loved, outstanding! Bone Marrow with Pommes Anna - juicy, delicate, and the mouth feel of the fat coating your tonuge - gorgeous. Needed the salty pommes anna alongside for the perfect mouthful. Charred Hispi cabbage - a nice bitterness and complemented by the deep sauce. Beef shin and kidney rarebit pudding - a stodgy big portion, but the suet was light and crumbly, deep meaty flavours with the kidney not overpowering. This was a meal on its own! Roast duck with port sauce - perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Sea Bream - whole sea bream which was perfectly roasted, champagne sauce was perhaps a little rich for us by then, but the chive oil did help to balance that out. House fries - nice, but we were stuffed so not really needed! No real complaints, it was busy and we hadn't booked, so we had to sit at the bar which wasn't the most comfortable. The food comes out as its ready which means we were left with the sea bream and fries at the end - would have been better if the order of dishes could have been rearranged, but anyway, this was a great meal. Including three soft drinks, only £92 for all that incredible food! Definitely need to go again!”
