Lebanese Shawarma
“Delicious food, nothing I can fault, the chicken wasn't dry, the bread was superb. It has a sitting area that's clean and comfortable. I didn't go upstairs, but maybe they have more sitting space there. We tend to order from there or eat there once a week :). It's better when we eat there though.”
Al Shamyat
“good taste . The food there is delicious and clean and the staff are friendly. Average prices. The service is good. I want to go there always. I wish you more success.”
Janna Lebanese Restaurant
“Great and friendly staff. The food was lovely with great flavours. We were asked many times if we needed anything with a great smile drawn on their face. I could just recommend to try this place if you've never been.”
Walnut Persian Restaurant
“I come here all the time and it’s absolutely unreal. Everything I’ve had is brilliant. The 2 aubergine dishes are some of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten… The potato salad is great… The quality of their grilled meats is amazing and the bread is delicious. A must visit!”
Choupan Restaurant
“The menu is small but I like this as you do not go crazy deciding what to order then. Good portions of food which is always fresh, hot and delicious tasting. The service is excellent, small family run business where they make you feel welcome and not just a number like some big chain restaurants. Good ambiance, no loud banging music so you can actually have a conversation with someone. Cannot fault Choupan for food, service or atmosphere 100% perfect.”
Armenian Taverna & Restaurant
“A triple celebration found us heading for the Taverna. Although we had not booked ahead, the staff kindly accommodated us. The atmosphere was buzzing! Several languages could be heard amongst the diners. The food was divine and the selection of Armenian wines etc interesting. Look forward to returning.”
Jafra Restaurant مطعم جفرا
“We visited Jafra last week after walking past it several times. Menu is easy with many options. We had the 5-item Mezze which came with warm bread. This was amazing as a starter and we kept this as a side whilst having mains. For main, we had the Mixed Grill- nice and tender meat. We also tried Manakeesh which is a Palestinian bakery item. We haven't tried anything similar before, taste was a bit overpowering but it was a new experience nevertheless. The atmosphere inside was great, expect local Palestinian music. Service was great start to finish. Food didn't take long to arrive. I would highly recommend Jafra, and I'd go back again.”
Baity Palestinian Kitchen
“This place was recommended to me by my client as I was over from ireland on work. First time ever having Palestinian food. The restaurant was clean and inviting. I was welcomed warmly by the waitresses and the lady took time to explain the dishes to me and recommend one. The food was absolutely heavenly I have never tasted flavours like that which complimented each other so well. The humous was silky smooth with subtle hints of spice and garlic through it. The bread it was served with was warm which was an excellent touch to the dish. I ordered the Chicken dish and it was succulent tender and the meat fell off the bone. I cannot recommend this place highly enough or explain the flavours in a way that will do it justice you have to try it to understand”
Turkman Grill
“Very very nice food, bit pricey and not even customer toilets. It's just down the road (near my) home by [20 minutes] walking, good for exercise and losing weight down too. I'm respectful and kind to staffs ower.”
Pomegranate Restaurant
“Excellent food and service. The restaurant has a good, relaxed atmosphere and a good ambience. The quality of food is matched by the quality of service. I will definitely be visiting again.”
Syriana
“Wonderful service and brilliant food. I'm vegetarian and there was plenty for me to choose from across mains and starters. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to return!”
Remal Restaurant
“I don't know why I travel all the way into Manchester City Centre when there are local places like this!! This place is a hidden gem! My friend ordered the potato kibbeh - these were small and delightful with a thin crusty texture on the outside and the mashed potato and lamb mince on the inside. I ordered the sucuk, thin slices of a spicy beef sausage - the flavours were strong and moreish. These were served with a basket of homemade white flatbread which were incredibly fresh and soft - they were pitta shaped but were fluffy and pillowy, not the hard dry white stuff you get in supermarkets! The waiter assured us that there was always plenty of bread available and sure enough we had another basket of lovely bread with our main courses. We both ordered the Chef's Mix which were skewers of charcoal grilled marinated meats - chicken, minced lamb and lamb shish pieces, served on a bed of onions and parsley and a chilli sauce. We also ordered a mudjadara rice between us as a side dish - a mix of lentils and rice cooked in spices and topped with crispy fried leeks. Yummy. We both agreed that although the flavour profile of the meats were quite similar to other nearby places (e.g. Turkish restaurants), the seasoning was better balanced here and most importantly, the cooking of the meat was excellent. Here, the chicken was succulent and tender, not dry and hard, and overall it looks like they know when to take it off the grill! At other places the charcoal grilling has left the meat hard and burnt at the edges with a bitterness - here everything was cooked just right. Although we were stuffed and were only considering an Arabic coffee, we both encouraged each other to go for a dessert. Unfortunately my friend's Halwa wasn't available so he joined me in a Muhallebia. Now normally I'm not one to bother with a dessert - I prefer crisps to chocolates and would rather have starter and main instead of main and dessert! And we were already incredibly stuffed! But this dessert blew my mind - a delicious milky pudding, not too dissimilar to a panna cotta but fluffier and less silky in texture. However, the flavours - wow the sweet vanilla with a tint of rose water, it was truly heaven and I haven't felt that way about any dessert for years! Garnished with chopped pistachios, this was for me the surprise star of the meal! Followed by strong and fragrant Arabic coffee, it was a fantastic end to a great dining experience. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, and I thought the decor, lighting and music was just perfect for the place. I highly recommend this place - it's small and relaxed and deserves attention. I hope it keeps these high standards up as I definitely want to come back and try the other offerings (and the Muhallebia again!).”
Nectar Bistro
“Lovely local dining place. The owners are fantastic and offer great service. Food is always excellent, with good prices and a good wine list. We love this place!”
Yara Restaurant
“We stopped in here for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding and had we had more time we would have kept chatting with our server. This was made perfect by the quality and taste of the 3 dishes we had. The Babaghanouj, Bourak and Maklubeh were outstanding! We’d never had the 2 last dishes and loved the flavor. If we every get back to Altrincham this will definitely be our first stop.”
Istanbul Grill Restaurant and Cocktail Bar
“We tried here last night for the first time and we were tempted to go again tonight, it was so so nice! From walking in, the staff were lovely, especially the young lady serving us (I've forgotten her name sadly) The food was delicious and the outdoor seating was fab, with a little heater too it was perfect and we can't wait to go again”

Jaffa
“It was lovely experience eating middle Eastern food, it was very busy during the day. lot of takeaway requests which means they are busy people, long queue for getting a table even though we booked prior coming. Authentic food but place gets messy due to busiest hours. They have restrooms on top floor but I don't think it's very comfortable place for wheelchairs users. No parking very close but few blocks away there is small free parking. Yes cash only! #halalfood #authenticfood #cashonly #best grill”

“Our first visit yesterday together with a friend who had recommended the restaurant to us. We loved it! Although early so very few customers at that time it still had a cosy relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and the young man that served us was helpful and charming. We will certainly return and recommend this restaurant highly.”

“Incredible food. The mini meze for two is delicious and almost a meal in itself! Incredible food, genuinely warm and friendly service. An absolute gem, and, as my friend who hadn't eaten there before said, a great find.”
YARA Restaurant
“We came on a Sunday afternoon for a light lunch. There was not a single other person here.. However, having said that it's a nicely presented place with white napkins and tablecloths, the service was great and the food was to die for. They also serve alcohol unlike some middle eastern restaurants and the house wine was delicious and very reasonably priced. Overall I would highly recommend!!”
Olive & Thyme
“Honestly I don't know any other food, how it is cooked. However when it comes to sea food, this place is definitely underrated. Price is super reasonable and taste is beyond expectation. Seafood platter for 2 people are about 40 pounds (20 pounds per person) including rice and salad each. Taste of fish was not too salty or too greasy. It is just worth of visit and if anybody likes seafood, this is the place to visit 100 percent sure!”
