With quality LLBean gear, custom hand-tied flies, and transportation to fishing destinations, Magalloway Guide Service offers a personalized approach to fishing in Up-Maine. While they do not lead large groups or boat trips, arrangements can be made in advance. Partner Dick Buffum offers guided boating trips on the Saco River for smallmouth bass and brown trout fishing. Limited canoe fishing trips in the Kennebago and Rangeley areas are also available for one client per trip. While fish are not guaranteed on every trip, Magalloway Guide Service strives to provide a memorable fishing experience. Batson River Fish Camp
Located at 73 Mile Road in Wells, Maine, Batson River Fish Camp is a popular bar and restaurant offering a delicious menu of New American Pub Fare. Situated just off Route 1 on the way to one of the best beaches in southern Maine, this establishment is the perfect spot to refuel and recharge while exploring the iconic area of Wells and nearby Ogunquit. Guests can enjoy a carefully curated selection of cocktails made with housemade spirits, as well as craft beers brewed on site at their brewery and production facility. Brewery tours are available on Fridays at 4PM with advance signup required. Operating hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 3PM to 8PM, Friday from 3PM to 9PM, and Saturday from 12PM to 9PM. Please note that Batson River Fish Camp in Wells does not currently accept reservations, but guests can add themselves to the waitlist online.
