Magalloway Guide Service is a small operation located at 51 Wild Dunes Way in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. As a registered Maine Guide, Tom Welch will take you to the best fishing spots, provide you with the necessary information, and work closely with you to ensure a successful fishing experience. With quality LLBean gear, custom hand-tied flies, and transportation to fishing destinations, Magalloway Guide Service offers a personalized approach to fishing in Up-Maine. While they do not lead large groups or boat trips, arrangements can be made in advance. Partner Dick Buffum offers guided boating trips on the Saco River for smallmouth bass and brown trout fishing. Limited canoe fishing trips in the Kennebago and Rangeley areas are also available for one client per trip. While fish are not guaranteed on every trip, Magalloway Guide Service strives to provide a memorable fishing experience. "While a Biddeford/Saco native, I have lived out of state for many years. For Father's Day this year, I thought I would try something different, and remotely hire a guide to catch my father a native brook trout, since he is no longer able to fish. Easier said than done. It took weeks to find a guide willing or able to do this. I finally found Tom Welch of Magalloway Guide Service out of Old Orchard Beach. Not only was Tom willing to do this for me, he refused payment, and delivered the trout personally to my father (some of you may have seen Anthony Lombardi's Saturday article in Biddeford's Tribune Journal). I couldn't ask for a better guide or human being. Thanks much, Tom!"
