"This place won't disappoint. Lots of flavor without being too spicy. Perfectly cooked catfish. My recommendation is to go easy on your appetizers. Make sure that everyone your group is going to contribute to clearing off the apps because you will have a ton of food on your entree."

"Drove down to Baton Rouge to celebrate my aunt,s 80th birthday. We were greeted and told the wait would be short. As a party of 6, we were seated and our waitress greeted us and took our appetizer and drink order. The drinks arrived shortly, and the waitress took our order. The char grilled oysters came soon after. The food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend this establishment to everyone, and next time I'm in the area would revisit this business. Would have given the business 5 stars, but the were sold out of crab fingers and we had a piece of fish that was a little under cooked."
"Better than most restaurants in New Orleans. The hush puppies and the gumbo were amazing. We didn’t order any fried food and most tables were eating big seafood The back deck looked very pleasant to eat at and would try eating there if we go again."
"This place gives an outback experience with the wood structure. Has a taste of five star effects. The staff were vibrant, upbeat and cheerful with a few exceptions. I ordered a margarita, jack and coke; both tasted diluted with water. The food did not appear freshly cooked but dessert I ordered was delicious along with the salads. Parrain's is one of my family member's favorite Seafood Restaurant. Two of the eight guest ordered the fish and etouffe. I wasn't hungry this day so didn't eat much food. Majority of customers were Caucasian which doesn't say much in terms of rating this restaurant. The waiter, Matt, was excellent; all smiles and pleasant attitude. I enjoyed the night and would definitely return another time."
