“Best Turkish in Essex! Been eating here for years and never had a bad meal. The bread is the best I’ve ever had; so deliciously seasoned and their homemade chilli sauce is incredible! Highly recommend ordering the hummus kuvurma. Mains are very large, would recommend sharing 1 between 2 people, or if you order your own and can’t finish it, ask for a takeaway box. My go-to main is the sarma chicken beyti; absolutely delicious! I forgot to take a picture because I was too excited to eat it, but I’ll be sure to get a picture next time I go and update this review.”

“I just want to say a massive thank you to Maria from the home department from me and both my children, you helped us massively tonight! I had an express order supposed to come between 1 and 2pm which showed as delivered and hadn’t actually came and I was worried about my children’s dinner being on the plate. Maria spoke to my family all day and helped my dad to the van with all the shopping she also gifted me flowers, sweets for my kids and upgraded some of my items as a kind gesture! “Ordered from Ped’s during lockdown and it was delicious so I was so excited to see he was opening a local restaurant. Authentic Neapolitan style pizza. Fresh ingredients. Amazing dough. Fast service. Good value and a nice gin and tonic! The garlic bread with pesto mayo is a winner as is the chocolate pizza for afters. I can also recommend putting the hot honey on everything it’s delicious. So lucky to have this in the neighbourhood, will definitely be back.”

“I always have the Mediterranean breakfast & it’s always a 11/10 here, the environment is also very chill. Also had oat milk in my coffee, this was the most amazing breakfast I’ve had in a long time! The Turkish sausage has a very good flavour everything is cooked to perfection. Thank you to the chef and the lovely waitresses, great way to start my day! :) A year on since I left a review and still wouldn’t choose to have breakfast anywhere else!”

The complementary starter of lamachun and warm bread was a good start, the dips could have been a little more flavourful. The Melih Special Platter for 2 was great. The meat was juicy and flavoursome and the complementary dessert at the end was a nice touch. The price was very good too.”

“Lovely service, friendly staff and great food. Went for my boyfriend’s birthday( 6 people) and the total bill was around £300. We got so many rounds of drinks and food for each person, including one desert and coffees. A free drink at the end was also offered. My boyfriend comes here quite often and really enjoys the fish and chips.”
