“Lived across the road for 30+ years and it's been my local. You just don't get pubs like this anymore , old school. Pam is in charge and everyone is welcome , tiny pub but great atmosphere.”

“I have just discovered this really lovely cafe/restaurant on a trip to Chislehurst. My meal was delicious (good old fashioned shepherd's pie with vegetables). The prices were very reasonable and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. In my opinion The Chestnut is one of the best cafes/restaurants in London.”

“Excellent pub in Holland Park. Ambience is superb in a beautiful, picturesque setting full of flowers in the garden and cozy inside. Food was delicious - while on the pricier side, as expected for Holland Park, dishes were made with fresh ingredients and full of flavour. Do not miss the truffle mac and cheese and the cabbage! Reservations accepted inside but terrace is walk-in only. One point for improvement would be to extend their non-alcoholic beer range which currently is Heineken only, so not great, but hopefully over time. Staff were super friendly and attentive too, highly recommend.”

“Lovely Moroccan pancakes served sweet with honey or savory with falafel and houmous. The coffee is good and the teas are, of course, fantastic. Not usually too busy so it's possible to get a table most of the time. The owners are very friendly. Definitely the best brunch/lunch place in the area. Worth following it up with a pastry from Delicious (Brazilian bakery).”

“Please be warned, if you opt for the almond croissant, you will probably not need any more food for the rest of the day. It is a meal on its own!! And, their coffee is the perfect accompaniment”

“Went to this pub on a rugby day it was very busy, but it had great atmosphere. The bar staff were very quick and efficient and used to deal with all this well. We stayed in the little court yard garden at the back as we had someone who likes to vape. The garden can be accessed directly via a side alley very useful for disabled customers. A good pub, busy but lots of fun.”

“An excellent selection of ever changing craft and local beers as well as the usual favourites, with some modernised pub classics on the food menu and friendly staff to serve it. In fact, here I had a pint of one of the best pale ales, it wasn’t cheap but damn it was worth it! (I hope they still have it). Also a nice atmosphere inside and a pleasant outdoor seating off the hectic main roads. Look forward to returning.”

“I have to comment upon this cosy warm family run local. Large sports screen with the viewing of our queen upon show. A few locals and the snooker table in prime position. Good solid seats with cosy atmosphere. All facilities and guidelines are in place. On my request for an uncommon drink; the young man serving the customers moved right into action by finding a knowledgeable elder who knew of my drink request and was swift to teach the young man serving exactly how it is made to perfection. I was very impressed and delighted by the customer care and thought given toward my request. That made my first visit to this establishment very rewarding and we shall go there again with pleasure. Well done Flower Pot Team....blessedness”

“A great little community pub, an oasis in New Ash Green. Decent pint, friendly service and live sport on TV. Lovely decoration and very clean and tidy, nice garden out the back overlooking the green also.”

“We have visited restaurant on Friday night. Place was busy which was great to see. We had very friendly and nice waitress. Food was absolutely fantastic! Drinks were served in no time. Really good time and experience!”

“We were pleasantly surprised by the ambience even though initially I was a bit u sure when I read other reviews. It was one of the only spots in that area serving food after 9.30 pm. The mushroom and prawn tacos, and chicken tinga were all very delicious and we absolutely loved the vibe! The staff was friendly and attentive. The music and vibe were awesome! We also loved sampling the 5 salsas and the flavours were genuine!! Brought back our memories from the trip to Mexico! Enjoyed and will be back again.”

“A lovely little pub. Staff were lovely: cheerful, polite and helpful. The usual seating options but there were possibly a couple too many as it was a little difficult to move around - although it was clean and tidy. I don't know if it's a regular thing or not but they had an excellent Managers special of an 8oz sirloin or a mixed grill for £4.99 (see below) - hard to beat. The Guinness was excellent as was the Doom Bar”

“The dim sum was amazing, the menu has both Chinese script and English, you are also given a menu with pictures that show you what each dish looks like, so you can put a name to a dish if you can't remember what you like. The service was excellent, quick and the staff were extremely friendly. The food was some of the tastiest dim sum I've ever had the pleasure to eat, I would easily call the food eaten here, one of the highlights of my trip.”
