We ordered a platter for two and enjoyed everything in it, the portion size was very generous. The food was absolutely delicious....will definitely be returning, I recommend Mekan to all.”

“I want to give this place a bad review so the queue gets shorter and I can get back in easier! It might not look like much from the outside but there's a reason why this place is packed from the moment it opens. Fantastic food, friendly helpful staff and unbelievable value for money. Every single dish we ordered (sashimi, sushi, tempura, miso) was full of flavour and freshly prepared. I can't recommend this place highly enough.”

“Really amazing bbq!!! myself and my partner had a well generous portion of the bbq platter (medium size) a long with Kimchee Pancake and pork dumplings. Overall, service was great, very attentive. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back again :)”

“This lounge/ restaurant is amazing. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, the shisha quality is the best I have ever had and I have been to a number of places. “We had the pleasure of staying here for New Year's Eve and News Year Day. The service was fantastic from arrival to departure. Immaculate hotel, rooms were spacious , clean and comfortable. The service in the bar and restaurant was superb too, the bar/restaurant staff were very attentive and helpful. They adapted changes to the food choices without any hesitation to ensure our 3 children were satisfied. The cleaning staff left our rooms gleaming and there was literally nothing to fault. The manageress of the cleaning staff, who was also first aid trained was absolutely superb at supporting us on new years day as our youngest had quite a dramatic nose bleed, she was so calm and experienced,that her presence and guidance helped immediately, literally can't thank her enough for her help . And Nothing was a bother, and it helped us feel at total ease, especially with 3excitable children who were desperate to visit Harry Potter's Studio on New Year's Day. The shuttle bus was also just a 5minute walk from the hotel, which was another bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel, for quality service, location smd fantastic customer service from all of the staff and would have no hesitation to visit again or another of the Leonardo Hotels.”

“My mother stayed here on night of the 12th Feb as we had just finished a holiday, I live local and she needed help getting to the train station early in the morning. We arrived late and was greeted by the night shift manager/ supervisor who was on reception. He was brilliant and very helpful. My mother told me in the morning that he even helped her with breakfast as she was the first one up!! Brilliant customer service by the supervisor (who I understand cycles locally to work on his push bike). Excellent work, well done to him! 5 stars”

“We visited here today for their bottomless brunch. I can honestly say that this is great value for money especially if you add the cocktail upgrade. Our waiter for our visit was CJ and considering it was only his second day he did a great job. Nothing was too much trouble. If you're passing and fancy some great food and even better cocktails it's well worth a visit.”

“Comfortable hotel at a very reasonable price. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet with (width-restricted) opening window. I have stayed here four times in last 3 months, and have another booking upcoming. Room is well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and large work area with plenty of power points and USB plug sockets around the room. The room has tea/coffee making facilities, but does not supply decaffeinated coffee in the room (but it is available from reception free of charge). The shower works well, but is over the bath requiring a significant step up (although rooms with accessible facilities are possible). Hotel is in a quiet location on the edge of town. Breakfasts are good value, but dining area can be very busy and many children WILL be present (hotel is convenient for Harry Potter tour). There is currently no food or bar service in the evenings but there are pubs and restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. The staff are both friendly and accommodating. My only issues are that a non-slip mat is not provided for the bath, and decaffeinated coffee is not in the room, requiring a trip down to reception, but these are minor inconveniences.”

“I think this place is amazing. Similarly I am shocked to see the negative reviews on here. The salmon is always top quality and melt in your mouth. I order salmon nigiri, sashimi, maki, avocado and salmon roll and the teriyaki chicken and udon noodles are fab too. Don’t believe the negative reviews.”
