Gabe's Afro-Caribbean Food, Cake & Coffee
● OpenCray Avenue, Orpington BR5 3RP, United Kingdom“Tried this place by accident as the place around the corner was not open as advertised. Delighted I did. It's a food van in the shopping centre car park. The queue for lunch was reassuringly long, and with good reason; the food was tasty and generously portioned. Curry goat was lovely, as well as the jerk chicken. It was served with jollof rice rather than rice and peas but that made a nice change. Really nice Owner too. If I'm in the area will be sure to pay him a visit again”

Discover Real London

Neil was our guide and brought so much joy and fun facts to our afternoon of sightseeing. Our entire family enjoy it! I would recommend this to anyone visiting London.”

ToursByLocals - London
● Open“Our tour guide, Rachel was the best! We had just come off of a fairly active cruise around the United Kingdom with 14 stops and we had already spent 2 jam packed days in London. To say we were tired is an understatement. Rachel, tailored our day with some walking and a ton of history. This lady knows London inside and out! I really wanted to see Abbey Road. She even snapped some pictures of us in the crosswalk. We also had Sunday Roast in a little pub. The perfect end to a great trip.”

Nazrul - Awarded Best Curry House in UK
● Closed“We were meant to go here a couple of years ago then the pandemic hit so it got delayed. It was tricky to book as it's so popular but we got a table for lunch and decided to each have a different tasting menu so we could try everything on offer. The service was brilliant, the food was sublime. The offer of a cheese course before the desserts was very welcome, and the selection of cheeses was great.”

SlowBurn London
● Closed“OMG. Loved this place - one of my favourite meals of 2022, despite it being mostly vegetarian. The only thing I didn't like was the aubergine...but more my tastebuds kind of thing. Cassava was a revelation, the cauliflower fried bits were gorgeous, the black bean tacos were surprisingly good. Even the chicken was great. Don't be afraid if you are a carnivore like me...venue is awesome too, and quite the surprise.”

NEPA Coffee and food
● Open“NEPA Coffe and Food is a favorite spot for those working and living in the area and a great alternative to both the coffee chains (i.e Starbucks) and and independent coffee shops (i.e Shoreditch Grind). NEPA is located on a side street off East Road and sandwiched between the Premier Inn hotel and Scape Shoreditch. Unlike other independent coffee shops that at times suffer of the Shoreditch attitude and outright bad service, the staff at NEPA are always cordial and friendly. This gives NEPA is a unique homely neighborhood cafe feel. The space is small and narrow with five to six small tables. In the summer it features three small tables for outside sidewalk sitting. It recently underwent an interior design update, which helped make the space more spacious but keeping the homely look and feel. The food on offer is a combination of coffee, tea, porridge, home baked goods and cakes - including croissants, muffins, Oreo cookie cake, lemon drizzle cake - and freshly made sandwiches and salads for lunch. The cakes and food are fresh and tasty. Opening at 7AM every day you can see the staff busy preparing the fresh food ahead of the lunch crowd. Price wise it is cheaper than your local Starbucks and the service is pure charm.”

● Closed“Best dining experience of my life! Absolutely incredible food, attention to detail from the friendly waiting staff and a super cool & ambient atmosphere made for a 10 out of 10 experience! You will not be disappointed with the "All in" menu whether you eat meat or are vegetarian/ vegan - every single dish was beautifully assembled and tasted phenomenal! There was so much variety too. From wherever you sit in the restaurant, you can also see the care & effort the chefs put in to preparing the food and the waiting staff genuinely seem proud and knowledgeable about the food they're serving to you. Simply cannot fault Silo.”

hub by Premier Inn London Westminster Abbey hotel
● Open“Excellent stay. Super efficient location and I loved the touch screen buttons on the bed that controlled the lights and room temperature. Breakfast was great and lots of options to choose from. Very nice bar staff and one of the guys at breakfast was so noticeably kind, caring and welcoming to everyone who walked in the lobby. Not sure if he was the manager but it didn’t go unnoticed. Thanks very much.”

Flat Iron Westfield London
● ClosedUnit 1053a Ariel Way, London W12 7GB, United Kingdom“Loved our experience at this Flat Iron. Came for lunch around 130pm and was sat quickly for a table of 2. Always nice to get the popcorn and tap water at the beginning. The steaks came quickly with our sides, and the food was great. Love the mushroom sauce here. Prices are great - standard for Flat Iron. The ice cream was salted caramel and honestly was better than most ice cream spots in city centre. Overall highly recommend”

The Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton
● Open“The hotel is really beautiful. The front desk is very helpful and professional. I will share with you one of the examples which reflect the professionalism of the reception. I asked for a taxi from my hotel to the airport through the reception and when the taxi arrived asking about me, the reception start asking different questions to the driver to assure that the taxi is not fake which I really like it from the hotel reception. Going to the hotel room: The size of the bed is enough for two adults and the bed is comfortable. The room size is good compared with other London hotel as most of London hotels room are small. The location of the hotel is in a new area and little bit far away from the most attractive area (30-40 minutes by underground metro) however the underground metro is just 5-10 minutes walking distance. The hotel area is safe, the hotel is just two minutes away from Westfield mall which has a big supermarket and many restaurants and shops. I really enjoyed in this hotel.”

Mama Shelter London Shoreditch
● Open“Such a fantastic place to stay. Came for a Valentine's night away from kids and had such a nice time. The room was big, clean, and had all the expected amenities like soap, shampoo, coffee, tea etc. Place has so many quirky features including our room that had a skylight that looks up to the pavement in the street! It was still private, but just a sight idea of naughtiness makes it fun. Highly recommend.”
-
Holiday Inn London - Whitechapel, an IHG Hotel
● Open“Nice reasonably priced hotel with very large rooms (we choose the premium rooms). Very quiet, not much noise from street or other rooms. Neighbourhood is okay as long as your diet does not rely on beer and pork. Bus stop right in front of the door, tube and DLR are roughly ten minutes away. Very friendly staff, especially at the restaurant. Good breakfast. Bathroom and closet in the guest rooms rather small.”
