The Chesterfield Mayfair
● Open“Had an amazing family visit to the Mr Simms sweetshop afternoon tea. Sandwiches were so nice but the sweets were a little too sweet! It was also unlimited food so we could carry on ordering anything we wanted. Which we did! Champagne went down nicely and also came away with a bag of sweets each! A brilliant experience!”

Fairlop Waters Boulder Park
● Open“Went here yesterday for the first time and has been my first climb in a few years,I must say I am incredibly impressed by this place, the boulders are a fair recreation of actual boulders. Each boulder seems to simulate a different type of rock face as well as different difficulty levels. So it's good for both adults and children. Areas are very clean and there's low danger risk because surrounding the boulders are small pebbles which are also deep. I feel a solid 10 feet and wasn't injured so in my opinion it's good. AWESOME AREA EOULD GO AGAIN!”

Lussmanns Sustainable Kitchen
● Open“Lovely restaurant spread over different levels in a building next to the cathedral in St Albans approached through a small walkway. Parking in town can be difficult and pre booking your table is a good idea as the restaurant can be busy. The ambience is lovely. They have a good choice of vegetarian, vegan dishes, seafood, meats including steak and a great variety of desserts. We had fishcake, amazing baked aubergine and a mushroom stew, all excellent. The apple crumble and date and ginger pudding was delicious. The poached pear was average. Service was very friendly. There can be a wait between courses.”

Baabul
● Open“I came across Baabul while looking for a Shwarni for an Indian wedding. From entering the store it was obvious these are people who dealing with quality. Lets start by saying that the design and the quality of the product is amazing and the price was very fair for the fact that it was altered for me as well. They were not carrying my size and I had to be in India 3 weeks later, Dimpy immediately took my measurements, made a call to their store in Mumbai and arranged for a suit to be altered to my size AND to be delivered to me at the airport!! Honestly, this is hands down the best customer service I have ever received. I was given everyone's phone numbers and kept updated about the progress of the alterations. I felt calm and assured that everything will be done on time and to a high standard. The gentleman who delivered the suit to me was waiting at the airport was very kind and communicative in the days leading to my arrival. For all of my Indian clothing needs, Baabul is the only business I will deal with in the future. Money well spent and such a pleasure to do business with them. Thank you!”

Cocotte Parsons Green
● Open“The food and wine was delicious, the service excellent and exceeded expectations. Rotisserie chicken is really tender and tasty, but I generally eat more vegetables than meat, and the menu is a dream if you are vegetarian. I have visited other Cocotte branches, but I have never felt so well taken care of as I was last night in Parsons Green. Well done and thank you”

The Dixon, Tower Bridge, Autograph Collection
● Open“After the first night of my first stay at this hotel, I have to tell you I'm really warming up to the property. Important to contrast, I usually visit London and stay on the north side of the Thames. This first overnight on the south and east side is proving to be very acceptable. Now about the Dixon in particular... I have seen several reviews site. A lack of hospitable service from the front desk and others that can be not farther from the truth in my initial check-in experience warm and welcoming staff not only expeditiously checked me in. Saw to an upgraded room and insisted on helping guide me to the elevator and overall very positive and endearing experience. The lobby as my included pictures demonstrate is outstanding. The integration of the historic property with modern touches is intriguing. And while I had initial concerns about noise level, given that my room faced immediately onto the major thoroughfare slept wonderfully. As of time of this writing, I have not utilized food and beverage on property. So I cannot speak to the level of performance of staff or robust quality of the dining experience. But I give this location a hardy five stars.”

The Hoxton, Southwark
● Open“Shiny new hotel in a convenient but remarkably quiet location. While the ground floor is painfully hip in the evening, the rest of the building is very comfortable with excellent design. I was in a "snug" room which was perfectly adequate in size for a couple of nights, and indeed was bigger than some London hotel rooms I've been in. The bed was super comfortable and there were even a few interesting books in the room. Breakfast was excellent - freshly made and very tasty. Receiption staff were brilliant - friendly and efficient. Immediately stopping whatever they were doing to address the clients at the desk with a bg smile, something that many other hotels should learn from. I had a delicious cocktail in the rooftop restaurant, again with fantastic staff. Only request would be to remove or put the curtains to the side so we could enjoy the amazing view. Only off note was the ground-floor hostess looking around the almost empty restaurant/bar area at breakfast and telling me that guests are recommended to book tables for breakfast. There were at least sixty open covers, and I have never been told that by any of the many hotels in which I've stayed. I will definitely be returning as I really like this new entry to the London hotel scene.”

The Blackfriar
● Open“The Blackfriar gets it's name as it was built on the site of an old monastery. When you walk in the first thing you do is look around you everywhere as it is stunning. It is part of the Nicholson chain of pubs so it does decent food, I had a vegetable&lentil pie and it set me up well for a day of drinking! In the 1960's The Blackfriar was nearly lost to redevelopment, which goes to show how fragile the future of pubs even the most historic can be. It is conveniently located across the road from...you guessed it Blackfriars Station, it is on the Thameslink or the London Underground.”

Finsbury Park
● Open“Finsbury Park is definitely one of our favourite parks in London. It has something for everyone including tennis and basketball courts. It is wonderful to see so many people enjoying the park. When the sun shows up, it is beautiful out there. There is a nice rowing lake at a reasonable price - £8/30mins per boat and none of the queues. We went for a row on the lake and hired 2 boats for the six of us. Life vests are provided for all kids and adults (if you need one). Lots of wildlife to see while maneuvering around the lake. The boating experience made for a beautiful and memorable day out with our friends.”
