Unwind after dinner in Welling

“We went on a Tuesday evening and it was like stepping into a pub from a Bill Bryson book. There was even an Irish band rehearsing songs on the fiddle. We weren't able to sample the food as the kitchen was closed, and although you can order Yard Sale Pizza there the barmen let us go and grab some chips from the chippy up the road. Wish more pubs were that chilled. Highly recommend a visit, the garden outside looked amazing too and would be perfect for a drink in any weather as it's covered...”

“I stayed at The Westbridge for 1 night with my wife, after seeing Abba Voyage nearby. The hotel is ideally located for Abba, being around a 10-15 minute walk from the venue. The hotel was immaculately clean, and the staff were all very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The room was a good size, and with a nice clean bathroom with a good roomy shower. The bed was comfy (although after the drinks we could've been sleeping on a plank of wood and wouldn't have noticed). We had breakfast in the morning, and were very pleased with it - there was a good selection of Full English items, fruit, cold meats and pastries. If possible, try and get the train here because parking is quite expensive - we paid £25 for our stay to park in the car park of an adjacent Bingo hall (there's no parking included because the area is very busy).”

“Booked as part of weekend break and very impressed with the quality of hotel. Although not close to tube station the hotel is in a great location. Staff were polite and very helpful. Evening meals were great. Breakfast was buffet and as per normal not very warm. Rooms although not large had all the amenities you needed and shower was great.”

“New landlord and small changes have made a big difference to this village pub. Had Sunday lunch and the food and service was outstanding. Outdoor space is refreshed and much improved. Table service is fast and efficient. Food and drinks were priced above other local pubs but I think it’s worth it.”

“I have finally found my local Indian restaurant and very near by to where I am. The food is tasty, full of flavours. The dishes can be a bit spicy but you can rest it to be mild. The staff are nice and the restaurant is nice and trendy and clean too. The staff doesn't pester you whilst you are eating which is good. The price is reasonable.”

“My first time here and I was mightily impressed. The service was nippy, the food came through quickly and the decor was simplistic and effective. The food was tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a cheese and mushroom starter and some red passion wine. There were lots of attentive staff. The bathrooms were excellent and I really enjoyed it my time there this evening. “This was my first time in a jazz restaurant yesterday and it was wonderful. Raymond greeted us and we chose where we wanted to sit. He asked if we were celebrating anything special, it was my birthday and he brought over a treat for us which was lovely. He was very attentive all night, and told us interesting facts aboutthe place. The restaurant had great decor and was very clean. The band started at 8.30pm and were fantastic. So professional. They took requests and interacted with the guests. The food and wine were lovely too, and we could choose when we wanted our courses. I would definitely recommend this place.”

“Truly a lovely place for a pint or proper pub food. The fish and chips might be the best I’ve ever had - light and crispy and with a full fresh moist cod filet, hot, a perfect balance of flavours and textures, and elegant presentation. The chips were also perfectly crisp on the outside while hot and tender on the inside. The staff was lively, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was quaint and comfy and the bar itself makes for a well-rounded pub experience. Highly recommend!”

“Lovely Victorian corner pub in a great location in the middle of Exmouth Market. Love the outdoor benches on two sides, letting you watch the world go by. Really attractive, green-tiled exterior; the interior is a single bar, although it has a few nooks & crannies for privacy. Good food, good beer, and good staff. Great pub!”
