“Excellent 2 night stay at Azteca Hotel & 1 day in Chessington! Had a standard Monkey Temple room looking over Amazu. Checked in online & staff were very welcoming to help issue keys on arrival, via key collection screen. Room was lovely & clean, great theaming. Window which opened a little, easy to use air conditioning which was essential when it was 28degs outside. Quiet and temp to 19degs which felt quite cold. Kettle, tea & coffee. Staff are more than happy to provide extra milk if you run out. Fridge under the desk was really handy. Not sure all rooms have this & was a nice surprise. TV had most usual freeview channels & TV in kids bedroom area too. Kids bunks also had a third pull out bed. WiFi was very good compared to other places we’ve stayed at. We ate at the Safari restaurant, lovely with views into the Wanyama area – spot the zebras, ostriches or giraffes! You can also walk around the area & there’s a small kids playground. Ensure you book the restaurant online in peak season. Buffet breakfast was a hot selection (eggs, sausages, beans) , cereals, pain choc, fruit & toast with a selection of jams. Staff were on hand and very helpful. Dinner was fine, it was mainly tea for the kids, bit slow to be served, but food was nice. Hotel guests have access to Chessington park queuing from 8.45am via Azteca gate just by the Temple restaurant. Staff let you in from 9am with ticket and bag checks. A selection of rides are open for guests between 9-10am. We preorderd a photo digipass and found it great for a whole day of ride pics. Activate it at the first photo booth you use, where they’ll issue you a QR for the rest of the day. Azteca Gate closes at 10am, so return to the hotel is via Lodge Entrance. In the evening Amazu play area is open at 6pm until 7 or 8pm. The park will always be very busy over the Summer, the staff were doing their very best to keep things moving and up and running asap if there were any technical problems. Download the app to view ride times and plan what rides are most important. Dragon Fury and Vampire were queuing before 10am. Have fun!”

“Really great themed hotel. Thought they hit the safari stay theme very well. We had a room with a view and saw animals as morning went on. The breakfast was good and the only part that was a shame was checking out at 10am as the animals were just coming to life after we had breakfast.”

“Stayed here from Monday and Tuesday, staying over the Monday night at the Safari Hotel. We really enjoyed the park, youngest was 1.1m oldest 1.2m so a few rides we had to separate for a few. Easier 1:1 child to adult ratio for under 7s I'd say. Hotel room was perfect and it was amazing staying next to the safari park. Buffet dinner and breakfast at the Azeteca Hotel was mayhem but really good quality. Perfect for the kids. Loved the 9am entry to the park although I'd flag not that many rides were open. Overall a great 2 days with a 4 and 6 year old.”

“I love going on this ride, when i was little i went on the merry go round before it all changed, me and my fiancee always go on this ride every time we stay in the hotels at Chessington zoo, the staff are very friendly who work where the Chessington Adventure tree is.”

“Great Zamperla Disc'o Coaster. Unlike Mia's Riding Adventure where the ride is on a half-pipe, this one is a longer track with a hump in the middle making for an enhanced experience.”

“As adults we thought it was good fun. Great seeing the Tigers as you go round. You can get pretty wet on the ride if you're at the front.”

“Kids loved the animals and learning about all the big cats they have at Chessington zoo. Have been many times and would go again, you just can't get bored of it.”

“The zufari ride is amazing, it has quite a queue so it's best to get there early to avoid a large queue, or you could leave it till the end of the day as your last ride and get into the queue before the park closes the queue lines. There is a variety of different animals to look at while on the ride and there is a narrative that talks the while way round and talks about the animals your looking at. I'd definitely advise going on this ride while at Chessington”

“A large, beautiful Asian themed area of Chessington World of Adventures. Plenty of rides, shops and tigers to keep you entertained.”

“Quick service off an app delivered to your table. Said waiting time was 45min but we had food within 10. Piping hot we ordered the wanyama burger and chicken burger 15£ea”
