The Animal Clinic
● Closed“Great team who always make you feel welcome. I came in on the wrong day for my appointment (right day of the week, wrong week) and they were still able to accommodate me and my little patient, Oreo. (An 8-year-old cat.) He had a bloody lip from an indolent ulcer, and were able to get that fixed up and advise me on a course to handle these going forward. Very thankful to have a vet nearby that is truly excellent, helpful and understanding. Can't recommend them enough.”

Aspen Vet Surgery
● Closed“I had my cat, Charlie, registered at Aspen Vets (Abbey Wood branch) for 4 years. He was an aggressive little thing and didn't respond well to most of the staff. For some reason, Rai always managed to handle him well and with no nonsense. He was gentle but firm with Charlie. Rai is based at the Sidcup branch the majority of the time so I went the extra 10 minutes in the car to make sure Charlie was seen by him. I had Charlie put to sleep yesterday, which was very upsetting but Rai outlined every step he was going to take and even every step he might have to take if the first ones didn't work (i.e, if he couldn't find the kidneys, or he couldn't get a vein for the needle). He was extremely empathetic and so very kind to my boyfriend and I - we were obviously in tears and struggling. He was fine with us staying with Charlie through the euthanasia and even checked to see if we'd experienced it before as it's obviously traumatic. I would highly recommend Aspen Vets. Don't be afraid to request a particular vet if your pet responds well to that person; after all, your pet needs to be at ease as much as possible.”
