“I booked a table for Sunday lunch at short notice yesterday afternoon, following a shopping trip to Kingston. All the staff were very friendly and the roast beef lunch was delicious. It was so refreshing to go to a place where you are looked after properly and the food is of a high standard. You can just tell The White Hart is managed properly, will definitely return soon. I was there working as a digital nomad during the day and despite the fact the young lady on the bar was alone in the morning, she went out of her way to check I was okay whilst managing other customers. “Great gastro pub food and excellent service from attentive, non pushy staff. Good menu selection includes veg/vegan. Booked for a Saturday late lunch for our 1 year anniversary and enjoyed decent steaks (1 rare, 1 med) with blue cheese sauce (on the side), fries and mushrooms. Very relaxed, despite it being quite busy we didn't feel rushed so enjoyed our drinks and took our time ordering dessert - one apple crumble (pictured) and a very sticky (good thing!) treacle tart with a (slightly small but proper) blob of whipped cream. Lovely early Christmas atmosphere.”
