“A lovely clean bright family run restaurant,no paper napkins or table cloths here. Nice clean linen cover the tables with a bottle of spring water. The temptation to cut back over 30 years has been resisted. There's a comprehensive reasonable priced menu with unusual dishes I've never seen before. This make a refreshing change as other restaurants have cut back,simplified and restricted choice. The service was good with a complimentary drink offered. The food was good, meat portions on the small side but sufficient enough to fill me up Go your be splendidly surprised.”

“Such a great dining experience. The staff were all amazing, helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The cocktails were great and the pudding was so tasty. Our son loved the crayons and the games and puzzles on the back of his menu. We were already planning our return before we'd even finished our meal. Loved the app and all the offers on it. Everyone in the pub was enjoying themselves, but no bad behaviour. A pub I would recommend for a night out and a nice bottle of red. Can't comment on the food but certainly a good choice available on the menu.”

“Amazing pub with a great atmosphere, staff were very friendly, respectful, kind and understanding. Some of the staff are fairly new so it’s best to be patient and give them time to get your order ready. The food is absolutely superb, theres a lot of variety to choose from and the chefs give you a lot of wiggle room to mix and match to make yourself the perfect meal. Also a decent selection of drinks to choose from such as cocktails, ciders, ales you name it. Overall it makes for a very enjoyable experience”

“Beautiful place for a drink. Big screen TVs. Music on monthly. Plus outdoor seating and covered seating. Area. Excellent transport links as pub is across from train and bus station. Great place for a quiet drink, friends night out, sports nights. Really worth dropping in.”
