“Very happy with the food that I had! I went for the 500g Porterhouse steak with skin on fries as a side. I ordered the steak medium-rare, and it was perfectly cooked! It had a lovely grilled taste and texture on the outside and on the inside it was very flavoursome and tender! Very yummy! :D So, if you want a lovely steak and great value for money then get your rumps down to Smokin' Grill! The service was professional and friendly too!”

“Second time we've been here and really enjoyed it each time. As vegetarians we were pleasantly surprised with the choice. Vegan burger was super good, we shared asparagus, garlic mushrooms and fries on the side and all were great. The garlic mushrooms in particular were delicious. Staff are so friendly and attentive, chef even came out to ask how we were enjoying our meal. Love this local restaurant and will certainly be back.”

“I went here for my birthday celebration with my husband 14th January 2022. We were greeted by a lovely chap we believe to be the manager (Liam I think) and he showed us to our seat. We were served by a really friendly waitress named Liv and she was extremely helpful and polite. The presentation was absolutely beautiful, we ordered starters and mains. For starters we had delicious Calamari, halloumi and goats cheese and all dishes were presented to perfection. We ordered Steak for our main and I even requested a cheeky fried egg on the side which the chef happily arranged. The food was delicious and bursting with flavour, I would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant to everyone! They also surprised me with a complimentary birthday dessert! It was the best brownie I have ever tasted. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, can't wait to re attend! :-)”

The waiter "Robson" constantly bringing food to the table with great enthusiasm just all round great service. Had our very own episode of Man V food I had to eventually tap out from eating more which was a shame. But will definitely go back again for a rematch.”

“We had a wonderful meal here. The food was absolutely delicious, there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like. We shared some starters (the spinach empanadas were amazing, as was the chorizo al Malbec). Our main course (ribeye) was excellent, even the sides (we had creamed spinach) clearly had a lot of attention paid to them. Best of all was our server, Honey. She was so attentive, made great recommendations to us and we felt that she looked after us brilliantly. We will be back!”

“If you're on the fence about visiting Ayannas, get off it. You'll walk into an intimate space reminiscent of my now 2nd favourite London restaurant: Sparrow. Ayannas takes the top spot from the quality of this focused menu to the well-balanced cocktails and overall presentation. Flawless guest service, food, and drink. It was a quiet night - we were the first guests to arrive for dinner at 7pm - and the owner took this as an opportunity to get us checked in at a comfortable pace. She was even gracious enough to push back our booking time as we were having delays in transit. We enjoyed the boneless curry goat and braised oxtail with rice & peas, alongside freshly made coleslaw and a rich mac & cheese. Very satisfying meal, both in terms of portion size and taste. We didn't have room for dessert but will definitely return to try the chocolate and rum cakes. All in all, Ayannas menu is a true love letter to Jamaican cuisine - highly recommend.”

We recently went to Middleton’s in Chelmsford for dinner before heading to Gaia at Chelmsford Cathedral as Mrs Foodmunkey has been craving steak throughout her pregnancy but it’s only now baby foodmunkey is here can she have it cooked properly. We had some amazing food… Fillet Steak Mrs Foodmunkey’s steak was cooked so perfectly to the point that we even thanked the chef on the way out. It was just the right amount of pink and medium just the way she likes it. Prime Mixed Grill Oh my god! A plate of meaty goodness! Fillet steak pink and perky in the medium rare juicy goodness kind of way just the way it should be. Piri piri chicken with just the right balance of heat and flavour Sweet sweet sticky bbq ribs with meat they just falls off the bone Barnsley lamb chop, something I hardly ever have but so tender and bursting with flavour! All served with my choice of side (Mac and cheese which was mind blowing just because I’m sure it was made with blue cheese!) Not to mention the onion rings and chilli and spring onion garnish, oh and the blue cheese sauce to dip my meat into! To top it off the service was lovely and very attentive and we already want to go back for more! If you haven’t been I encourage you to go!”

“If you are not familiar with South American food El Dorado is the best place to give your taste buds their first culinary experience of this kind. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, inspiring decoration and Salsa music is always playing on the background. There are all types of fresh healthy food, from seafood Ceviches and battered calamary to homemade soups. However, if you are on a diet and want to find an excuse to break it, their Bandeja Paisa is the dish; this plate is a traditional Colombian delicacy contains pinto beans, pork belly, Latin American chorizo, minced beef, egg, avocado, rice and dressing. A legacy of the coffee growers journeys and their trips up and down the Andean Mountains, Bandeja Paisa (pictured) was their main source of energy for the day. With a great selection of Colombian and Peruvian food, El Dorado is highly recommended for those looking for a new tasting experience”

“Just enjoyed a lovely lunch at Onyx. Fabulous food and excellent service. Highly recommend the scallop starter and the pork cheek pasta and mussels, they also have delicious side dishes particularly the mushrooms, zucchini and spinach. Great choice of food and drink and our waiter whose name I didn’t catch but think he said K or Kai couldn’t do enough for us. Friendly, courteous and polite, I have nothing negative to say. “Lovely space downstair enough space to accommodate over 30+ people. Lovely decor, clean and tidy. The service was very good. Service was great and very professional. Great range of drink, starters and main meals. We had our Shoreditch Football Club football awards and service was excellent. We order a mixed meal specially tailored for our pallet and was great value for money meal and drink. The food was hot, tasty and really yummy. A great evening with great company and great food.
