“I was extremely apprehensive, However I must say this place was absolutely great. Service was exceptional. Wait time for food was minimal. Quality meat, the lamb was tender. I would recommend this place to anyone. I'll definitely be back.”

“An absolutely wonderful lunch. The choice of menu is fabulous and the members of staff answered all our questions about the souse , chicken we were ordering. Our starters, mains, sides and rice were beautifully presented and the flavours complimented each other The interior of the restaurant is well laid out and tables spaced out so you can talk and not feel overcrowded. The bar area is lovely and a great place to enjoy a cocktail or drinks. All the staff were very polite and helpful. Will be back soon for another wonderful meal as so many other meetings I would love to try again this weekend”

“We had Goats curry and it was delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday evening, hence the not so quick service, but still good and very friendly. The restaurant itself is one big room and not the brightest lighting. Still works. We will definitely come back for another meal.”

“Celebrated a 92 birthday and it was good! We were a party of over 30 and had our own room. The staff were well organised and Freya looked after us beautifully. Thanks also to her colleague who helped at times. The food and drinks were great and we enjoyed ourselves. A bonus about the location is that it was just next door to Coombe Gardens where we could take photos. Overall, a very good way to celebrate an event. Thanks and great job to the staff. We look forward to returning.”

“I've been going this pub since it was 'The Blacksmiths Arms' , and had my first pint here when I was 15! A carling black label that cost £1.13 . I haven't tried the food but it looks good and they do a good deal as well. And the staff are super friendly and helpful. So a rare 5 stars from me.”

“Typical greasy spoon cafe with huge portions of food, and an alcohol license too! Had the best breakfast there. Really nice coffee as well. Great traditional cafe. Homecooked breakfasts are delicious. Basic menu but speedily delivered and good prices. Friendly, family-owned restaurant. Sandwiches, fry ups, burgers. Generous portions and low prices. I've been coming here for years. Friendly staff. Recommended.”
