“Clapham is a risky place for a coffee house. Every few weeks witnesses the opening of a new third wave coffee shop. But Black Lab had been around for sometime. It is still my favourite coffee house in Clapham, possibly one of the best in London. The coffees are always excellent and the baristas are fantastic. They deserve a special praise here. The cafe is very cosy too. The only drawback recently has been the quality of the Pain Au Chocolat. It's very dry and not particularly french or tasty. But I love their coffee so I will still be here everyday.”

“We ate in as a treat for my daughter’s birthday. Good speedy service. Food tasted great. Ate what we could and packed the rest in the pizza boxes for later. Would recommend anyone to visit. Music was a little loud but I should have just asked for it to be lowered. I mentioned it as we were leaving and got the impression the colleague/ manager? would have lowered without fuss. Very happy daughter. With the opening offers would have been cheaper to collect and take away but daughter wanted to eat in. Worth the extra.”

“Was offered prawn crackers and water as soon as we came in. Was amazed by the variety of dishes and the waitress had a lot of patience and came to the table when we were ready to order. We ordered prawn summer rolls, prawn friend wontons, Charsiu bun, chicken hue-spicy noodle soup and Bún Cá Chiên - Deep friend battered pangasius fish served on vermicelli noodles. The starters came out super fast and the fried shrimp wontons were piping hot, the summer rolls were fresh and the charsiu bun was piping hot all the way through and flavourful. I had the chicken hue-spicy noodle, had a strong enough kick to the broth, generous with the chicken strips in the soup and was provided a small tray with the lime, sliced red chilli, bean sprouts and coriander which were all added. The whole dish mixed was full of depth and flavour and the temperature of the dish was fresh and hot. Would visit again 100%”

“Food was amazing, staff were really attentive (opened doors to toilets, took coats etc) and the interior is really smart. The team also gave us a complimentary dessert for a family member celebrating their birthday. Not the first time to Yumn and would definitely recommend. Ajay was brilliant.”

“Looks are deceiving as the sign board looks rusty but, mixed grill platter is so juicy and full of flavours. Their rice and bread are so fresh, run by bengalis but food is authentic turkish. I can not fault their food. Salad wad really good. My only improvement area would be to work on their chilli sauce other than that 5 stars. I'm a regular noe.”

“Amazing little cafe with very friendly owners and staff. Its honestly one of the better cafes I have been to and definitely the best cafe in surrounding areas. My favourite is the chicken grill with jacket potato and Turkish salad. Not on the menu but they really don't mind when you order something completely from the top of your head”

“Must visit for anyone missing home food. The best place in Wembley for Indian snacks and home cooked food. Food is cooked in Punjabi/North Indian style so very different from other places in Wembley/Ealing road. It tastes fresh and the prices are very reasonable. We get the paneer butter masala and Dal makhani once a week but their daily veg is also delicious. I had the best bhaingan bharta and aloo gobhi here. It's like your mom cooked it! Also has a huge range of sweets and do lassi and chai too so you can get everything in one place.”

“Tortilla (Greenwich branch) is located next to Cutty Sark DLR station. It is serving very delicious and refreshing burritos, tacos and salad, etc. The restaurant has 2 floors comfortable interior spaces and seating. The staff are friendly!”

“We came to watch the Portugal / Morocco world cup game. There was one guy manning the bar as the pub got progressively busier with minimal standing room let alone free tables. Every single one of us came back from ordering drinks commenting on the guy running the bar on his own, stunned at how good he was taking multiple orders, completely unphased by the increasing business around him. It was genuinely impressive and I can't praise how good he was enough! V strong selection of beers on tap, big screen for football, and a small outdoor area.”
