“My new favourite place to eat! The portions are big, the food is fresh and served piping hot. It's very healthy as well (i went for the beef steak with rice and spinach with a diet coke...only cost £8 in total). The man who runs the place is very welcoming and generous. He saw I had a lot of meat still left on my plate and so asked if I wanted more rice - no extra charge! This place is one of London's undiscovered gems!”

“As a Palestinian, I was very happy to see a place like Akub open in London. This quaint & cozy space serves innovative twists on traditional Palestinian cooking. Dishes like the Short Rib Fatteh, Bukjet Mousakhan & Shish Barak with Beetroot are delicious & pleasantly light. The dessert, especially the dead sea salt chocolate cake, is out of this world! Akub also serves Palestinian arak, wine & beer, so you get to enjoy a Taybeh or 2 with your meal ;) The decor is on point too - tasteful cultural symbols minus the clichés (no flags or rifles, though of course the spirit is that of Free Palestine).”

The menu has a wide range of choice, from popular and well-known to more traditional Nepalese dishes. It was all delicious, and a good price for the portions, especially the sharing platter. “Amazing and friendly butcher and Lebanese grill. Their lamb and fresh meat are amazing - nothing is too much trouble. Also eat there as meat is grilled fresh and expertly prepared Lebanese cuisine - reasonably price.”
