Restaurant quality food in New Malden

“I am usually not a fan of Soondae but this restaurant makes great ones! We came across this restaurant after some searching and boy are we glad we visited. The front of the place is a shop for prepare food for takeaways and there’s dining in the back. We ordered their Soondae, Soondae Guk (Soup), Galbi (Beef short rib) Tang, Fried Chicken Wing in Yangyeom sauce and original Fried Chicken Wings. Soondae was served over a bed of onions on a hot plate was amazing, not gamey. Soondae Guk was hearty (haha literally, because it had pieces of heart, lung and liver in it) really liked the liver. The fried chicken wings were crispy and juicy. Galbi Tang came with large chucks of short ribs. We left with happy bellies. Happy we’ve found this spot!”

“I love shopping here. A huge variety of produce from around the world. I always find something new. All the fruit and veg are very good quality and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. I often ask how to use a new vegetable and they have great advice.”

“It's a nice small Korean restaurant. Not the best at dealing with vegetarians. Has a good local energy with very good lunch time deals! Unbelievable communication system installed to streamline guest to server experience. Lovely decor, with passionate staff!”

“Love the Gganpunggi! So juicy and tender. Not too spicy, nor too sweet. LA galbi is on the chewy side, samgyeopsal is good with lettuce and ssamjang. Minimum 2 portions for table top BBQ. Charcoal is used, which is a big plus. Staff are friendly, toilets are clean, tap water is available (as required by law), not too expensive, service charge added to final bill”

“More cafe than restaurant experience, however the food is wonderful. All the Dosas are so tasty, tandoori chicken was beautifully presented. Best of all was the Kadai Paneer curry with it's lovely thick rich curry sauce, this always varies in quality but this was the best yet! Please don't change it!”

“I was recommended this place and it did not disappoint! We got the whole chicken (half signature fried and half spicy glazed) with a side of chips and Soju! The chicken was delicious! The service was great, very friendly staff! Service was a little slow but I believe it’s because we arrived just before they closed for lunch!”

“I had a lovely breakfast here this morning. Food was cooked really well and you get plenty for your money! Service was great and staff were happy to customise dishes/add ingredients. Avocado on the side? No problem. Toast without butter? Sure. Overall, really impressed with Roberto and will be coming back again to visit this little New Malden gem!”

“Initially was going to a different restaurant but it was closed and I was starving. As it was takeout only I got the spicy fish cake gimbap which was £5 and came as 6 well filled hand rolls. It was actually spicy and the flavours and texture were phenomenal. If I wasn’t an hour from home I would have ordered more. Will definitely find time to return and try out the other menu options. The staff were nice and service was prompt and if they resume dine in again I’d dig the ambience”

“We saw the place as we were passing and stopped to try it. Probably the best South East Asian restaurant that I’ve had in a long long time. Would definitely recommend! The staff were super helpful and the orders came quick. The starter in the photo (I forgot the name!) was really good!”

“We had amazing dinner there tonight absolutely delicious with really generous portions and efficient service . The restaurant was already busy at 7.00pm on a Wednesday I think this shows how good the restaurant is. I'm delighted I have tried this restaurant and all because of their support of a takeaway stall outside that I went there.”

“Excellent hidden gem in New Malden serving up excellent Persian fare by the owner-chef. Service is excellent and the dishes full of flavour. The breads are cooked in a traditional tandoor in the dining hall are as fresh as they come. Highly recommended.”

“I really like the food here, especially the noodle dishes and the Dumplings which are both made in house. Food is always made fresh when you order it. The portion sizes are huge as well hence good value for money. My favourite is the braised beef noodle soup, try it out!”

“They gave me a ring to apologise for the delay which was appreciated, and it all arrived well within the JustEat timeframe anyway so there was no need to apologise. The food is very tasty indeed, and I have been given a mountain of food that will easily last 2-3 meals for just over £20. 5 stars”

“Very nice quality kebab, and clean shop. Wide selection on the menu. I ordered the lamb shawarma wrap. It's a little bit on the expensive side at £9.00 for a large. But it certainly was tasty! Will be coming here again for sure.”

“Amazing Korean barbecue restaurant. Buffet with good variety of food. The meat is very tasty, liked the seasoning. Good quality-price. There is a quite big awaiting time in here, as is so popular restaurant, so allow plenty of time and while you waiting for your table, just have a drink in the pub next door. Quite good pub as well, exactly.”

“I LOVE the food from this place and I get takeout from here regularly. Everything tastes good , is made quickly and the staff are friendly ! Plus the pricing is really good , you get a lot for your money. It's my favourite place in New Malden for take out hands down !”
