The food was as expected my only criticism was the menu was varied but items that were a particular type of meal weren't varied enough, the calzone had two options? I cannot express how helpful the staff were in arranging the booking and arranging for dietary requirements and on the day how friendly and helpful they all were. The afternoon tea was so lovely and the atmosphere at Marygreen Manor was warm and so Christmassy. Would definitely recommend coming here for any special occasion. “Our first visit was tonight here with my partner. Food was freshly made amazing flavours. You may need more plate to fill you up but absolutely worth it. I think you pay for a great experience. Service was absolutely friendly caring by the two lady who took care of us. Drinks were nice too. My partner loved the little wine jug. Atmosphere was nice warm cozy and friendly. “A warm and friendly pub with exceptionally nice staff (even to the point where the manager has checked that I am getting home all right - I was very touched), the Essex Arms is also notable for its monthly karaoke nights. The host, Gary Pryce, is a true professional, getting as many singers on as humanly possible, while giving supportive encouragement to anyone who has felt a bit nervous. Come on down and join the fun!”

“Situated on the main high street. A Wetetherspoons, an absolutely super range of lager, real ales and various other drinks on offer, the prices for selected ales can be as low as £2.50 a pint. There's an ample breakfast menu at very affordable prices. There is also a wide of main meals available and it seemed a daily special at lunchtime. To me, this establishment offered very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Brentwood.”

“Have food from here on a regular basis and has always been very nice. Very friendly delivery drivers as well. Last week I ordered online delivery and when delivered was one item short. That is not my complaint as things like this happen now and again. I rang and explained. Without hesitation or questioning, the young man promised to deliver the missing item asap and within 25 minutes I had the remaining dish. Excellent customer service (and food). Happy to recommend.”

“Great Chicken Shish, didn't want the rice, no salad just chilli sauce and pitta bread with a side portion of chips. Chilli sauce was perfect, not too spicy. Nice prices too served by nice, polite guys. Shame they leave before 21:30 on a Saturday night.”
