Canbury Secret Cafe
● Closed“A gem in the park. Great coffee, unique savoury and sweet pastries. Ice cream selection is small but exceptional (made in fresh soft ice cream machines). Unbeatable on a sunny day with the river 20 meters away. The owners put great effort in every aspect of this place and it shows. Incredibly reasonable pricing.”

The Queen's Head, Kingston
● Open144 Richmond Road, Kingston Upon Thames KT2 5HA, United Kingdom“Lovely weekend lunch! The menu isn't extensive but there is enough choice and nobody felt they had to compromise. The kids menu was very good, plenty of options to cater for simpler and more adventurous tastes. The triple cooked chips, these days almost a pub cliché, are worthy of a special mention! Clean plates all around. What more can you ask for?”

The Canbury Arms Kingston
● Closed49 Canbury Park Road, Kingston Upon Thames KT2 6LQ, United Kingdom“Perhaps the best Sunday roast I had in 8y living in the UK. I’ve been there with friends and I ordered the Jacob’s ladder to share. The meat was absolutely phenomenal, incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked (12h slow cook). Each vegetable served with meat (roast potato, carrot and butternut squash purée, etc) was flavourful as well as the Yorkshire pudding. The pub is very nice and it’s located just 5 min away from the old market square in Kingston. Friendly staff, reasonable prices”

Fatboys Cafe & Restaurant
● Closed204 Cambridge Road, Kingston Upon Thames KT1 3LU, United Kingdom“I do not get how this place does everything. If you want a breakfast to induce a heart attack, no problem. If you want a breakfast as part of a keto routine, no worries… it’s halal, it’s vegan it’s…. Everything. They support all the football clubs this side of london, and this is reflected by the people within being a zany delightful bunch. You know when you want to eat healthily you go to one place, and unhealthy you go to another? Well…. Fat boys is both, almost like a meta eatery if some kind, or a sign boundaries of reality are breaking down.”

Travelodge Kingston Upon Thames Central
● Open“I was a little worried after reading previous reviews, but I needn't have been! Short walk from the station, greeted very warmly by Alizay who was an absolute joy. Given a choice of floors, so opted for 6 as figured it would be quiet. This is the business floor... Room was spotless, even a bit of a view from the window. No issues with getting in late after a gig, key card worked fine. I felt safe as a woman on my own. Comfy bed, great shower, and no rush to check out the next morning. Another lovely gent on reception. Would definitely stay again, easy quick walk to go look at some of the sights. Really can't find fault for the price.”

Delicious dinners, beautiful brunches, cracking cocktails. Slow-cooked lamb; dripping with flavour. Perfectly poached eggs; oozing with yolk. Fabulous French Toast; exploding with flavour and texture. I highly recommend this restaurant for so many reasons. The decor is subtle and classy. The owners kind and attentive. The food tasty and from the heart. Give it a go if you’re in the area; you won’t be disappointed.”
