“I had such a wonderful time going to the Orpington! I feel lucky we are locals to a place like this. The menu is a sophisticated take on classics. Everything is homemade and fresh, with an attention to detail in each dish. Music was great. Beer menu, excellent. I had a salt beef sandwich and it was perfect. We both wanted to order the whole menu and are looking forward to coming back. Scott also seems to care about his team, and that matters. To anyone saying it's a bit pricey: You get what you pay for, and that's never been more true than here. High quality, locally sourced ingredients with well thought-out menus, and a warm and personable experience.”

“Very happy with our hot tub installed by Lee who was very professional and informative. Really appreciated the extra time and effort he puts into making sure the customer is satisfied and understands everything correctly, which I have to say is a rare find these days to have someone show so much initiative and care for their job. “Having stayed here many times and had use of the different rooms, it's fair to say that the balance between price, comfort and location is spot on. That said, this can be said for many places - it's the owner that really makes it. Pat cannot do enough for you and it's because of this as to why you become a returning customer. You are treated like family and in a world where division is rife, it's a nice to be treated like a human and not just a paying customer.”

“Tried this place by accident as the place around the corner was not open as advertised. Delighted I did. It's a food van in the shopping centre car park. The queue for lunch was reassuringly long, and with good reason; the food was tasty and generously portioned. Curry goat was lovely, as well as the jerk chicken. It was served with jollof rice rather than rice and peas but that made a nice change. Really nice Owner too. If I'm in the area will be sure to pay him a visit again”

I did try a crafty cafe up the road last year who raised their prices somewhere between me ordering from the menu and having eaten a meal, since then I decided to stick to Star Cafe as they are honest. I use this cafe regularly and won't be going anywhere else!”

“So good wow! I ordered the honey and mustard wings which were amazing must try and chicken burger with crossed fries. Burger was perfect, warm and juicy and the fries with the smacks sauce delicious! Def recommend and definitely ordering again”
