“Visited for the first time on a Wednesday evening as a group of 4 friends, with the purpose of seeing Rob Lamberti (who is the best George Michael/Wham tribute act out there-that’s a whole other review!) This venue is like a tardis, with a long/ split ground floor level, large function room and a contemporary outside seated area too, with and 3 bars in total. Spotlessly clean, with an very aesthetically pleasing decor. The whole venue must be newly refurbished as nothing looks tired or worn and there are very stylish black and white pictures of famous faces covering all of the walls. The bar staff are super friendly and very welcoming and the owner Christine is just a delight! We left after a very pleasant 4 hours feeling like we had made a new friend. The house Prosecco was delicious and the pizza’s served in the function room were perfectly cooked, reasonable in price and arrived promptly. Wholeheartedly recommend this venue, if we lived more locally I know we would be regulars. Parking was easy for us as we found a space in the station a 30 second walk away, but otherwise it is street parking. There are large TV’s there showing all of the must see sporting action too. The venue was absolutely buzzing and a very good evening was had by all! Wednesday is definitely our new Friday after a visit to the Seasons bar this week!”

“Popped in, with no previous experience of the pub and not having been in Woodford for 20 years or so. Surprise, the pub was welcoming, light banter as much on tap as a range of beers and lagers. Well worthy a visit.”

They will try to accommodate you if you haven't booked even at busy times. It is advisable to book as it gets busy. If you want a variety of dishes I would recommend the Shish Platter. “This was my first visit with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. They have just moved into the area and I was visiting. The lunch, I had the large fish & chips which in fact was very large and was very nice indeed. I was driving so had a soft drink. The service was very pleasant and efficient. It was not over busy on our visit but was very enjoyable. I understand this is going to be my sons local which I think he will be happy with. I look forward to visiting again.
