Quality food store in Woodford Green

“Mainly posted as I thought the guy moaning about fruit and veg being dropped on the floor was hilarious - it grows outside and often in the ground! What’s the difference once it’s been peeled / cooked… just wash it like you should do anyway - don’t waste it! I find the staff are ok, wouldn’t say friendly but not rude by any means either. Great stock of spices and random beans and grains that I often can’t find in the supermarket. And lots of fresh fruit and veg which is handy midweek between supermarket shops.”

“It’s been open a few years now and the owner (Jan) has made it such a special shop to visit. He and the rest of his staff always make an effort to welcome anyone coming in, creating a warm atmosphere whether you want to shop and/or enjoy a delicious tea or coffee. It’s as much a community hub as a great place to find lovely treats to buy.”

“I took my Romanian rescue into the shop today for a haircut. He’s very nervous, won’t go near most people and hates closed spaces, so I usually clip him myself but I’m not very good at it!! The ladies were super patient with him and clearly spoiled him as he came out a much more confident dog than the one I dropped off! His haircut was absolutely perfect, I’ll be bringing him back on a regular basis!”
