“The food was amazing and fresh. The service was great. There was ten adults and at least ten children so you can imagine how loud our group was. The staff dealt with us professionally courteously and they were great with the kids. The portions were a good size and we had so much left over. The taste of the fresh food was on point. All accompaniment dishes like the stem broccoli with French beans and Mac and cheese with a Caesar salad went down very well.Also the house red wine was superb choice. “I habe to give this place 5 stars, as their fish and chips are always on the level. Never too oily or fish of the strange small size! It's run by the same lady and is open only from 12 to 14 and 16 to 19, always fresh. Chips are not made of frozen potatoes. Cash only.”

“Having just finished a 10 mile walk, i was famished. This place was a gem i found by accident. My friend and i asked if they had a table as the place was rammed. The very efficient lady in charge was able to squeeze us in if we promised to be done in an hour as the table was reserved. Food looked gorgeous but i just opted for a snack which was dirty fries with beef and cheese”

“Great crispy and thick batter on the fish. Both chips and fish are very fresh. Chips are properly triple fried. The only place i would go for fish n chip in tge WD3 area. Its won awards. A favorite for a Friday night family meal.”

“Owner always greet you and friendly, quiet enviroment during day and busy at night. Thai food served here as Joy of Thai restaurant. Good Thai foods and reasonably cheap with portion you can share if you are not that hungry. Lunch served at noon at bar area and evening at top floor separated with bar which busy every evening. During COVID the area set a giant tippy in the garden.”

“First time here and we were really impressed. A great menu with some unusual options and a lot of variety. The portion sizes were very generous and everything we ordered tasted great. They also had Mogo which you usually only find in authentic Indian cuisine.”

“I will always love this farm! Because it’s only open a handful of times a year and because it’s not in the most obvious of places it makes you feel like you’re in some sort of secret society and I love it. I love the fact you can buy feed for 50p and feed a great number of the animals in the farm yard. I also love the number of exotic animals they have for a farm in watford. They have raccoons, artic foxes and my favourites Capybara which is odd for a small farm in a city. I will continue to go to this farm every year for at least one of there open days and highly recommend it to anyone, old, young, family, couples, with young children and without. Everyone will love it.”

“This is an absolutely fantastic pub for Sunday dinner. The meal was very well prepared and the staff were friendly and answered all of our food allergy questions. I had a traditional Sunday roast which included all the relevant trimmings. The draft beer was also excellent. I would most certainly come back again. This restaurant accepts tips when paying by card.”

The food tasted absolutely delicious; the entire place had a warm and inviting atmosphere. “I have been there about 5 times over the years. My last visit exceeded my expectations. Prevoulsy I had found the food to be well cooked but slightly underwhelming (read: bland). On sunday I had one of the best curries that I have eaten in years. Other members of our party made similar comments. I am looking forward to my return visit.”

“Going by some of the reviews on this place I would have avoided it. However, my co driver ordered and we both had salt and pepper ribs. They were first class. The special fried rice was nice as well along with the curry sauce. I couldn't fault the place.”
