Maranton House Hotel

I have stopped many times over the past years and never had any problems the management and staff are friendly and helpful the prices are probs the lowest in town, yes it's no frills down to earth accomodation but you get what you pay for and more at the Maranton.”

Kensington Court Hotel Notting Hill
● Open“I have been trying a lot of hotels in London as I stay 2-3 nights a week and this has been my favourite. Quiet, lots of amenities in the room, free (excellent) coffee and pastries in the morning. The best part was the bed - so comfortable and the pillows were heavenly. I'm just sorry the prices will skyrocket again and I won't get to stay here later in the year!”

The Dome Apartments Camden
● Open“Me and my wife lived at the Dome for almost 1.5 years as a long-term resident and have just moved out as we moved back to our hometown. We rented a Studio room which features a kitchen and private bathroom, with access to the public kitchen space (located on each floor and only for long-term residents). At first when I was looking for places on spareroom etc to rent as I moved to London to work, I was skeptical of this place because of its location, price and it being a hotel. However it was one of the best decisions I've made in terms of finding accommodation. The staff are really friendly and helpful, rooms are modern and clean with all bills included. Rooms aren't super spacious but enough for a couple to live and you have your own bathroom. Location is easy access to buses and Kentish Town Underground (Northern Line) which go straight to London city centre. There were a few minor issues at first such as shower was going hot and cold but once you report this it gets fixed immediately. Any issues you just email the staff and they get it fixed quickly. There is also a car park at back which you can rent if needed. Cannot recommend this place enough as London rent is so high (especially if you're using spareroom rental site where you're more than likely have to share a bathroom or pay bills) whereas The Dome, which is operated by The Collective for long-term lets, includes all bills, broadband etc so really great value for money. Hands down would recommend to anyone.”

Urban Stay Artillery Lane Serviced Apartments Liverpool Street
● Closed“Having traveled to London multiple times for business over the past 14 months, this place has become my home away from home. I stayed at Urban Stay from April-June and again August-October of 2019, and for an additional 2 months and counting this year. First, I would like to compliment the staff. They are always friendly, helpful, and attentive to any problems that have come up during my stays. The facility itself is always clean, and everything in the apartment is well outfitted. Staying here as long as I have, the full kitchen is exactly what I need. The building is conveniently located across the street from Liverpool Street Station and Stansted Express bus. There are tons of great restaurants, pubs, and shops nearby. We were spoiled for choice. Overall, very pleased with this place, and I will be back anytime I am in London.”

Day Lewis Pharmacy Elm Park
● Open“Always very helpful staff. Nice clean, simple shop front, and pharmacists are always happy to answer any questions you may have. It's sometimes easier to see the pharmacist for advice than trying to get a Drs appointment.....when you need one....not two or three weeks down the line! I highly recommend this pharmacy in Elm Park”

Rising Sun Restaurant & Hotel
● Open138 Greenford Road, Harrow HA1 3QL, United Kingdom“Visited this place to try out the food and was blown away by this little unassuming spot. The food featured Sri Lankan styled menu with and explosion of taste and authenticity. I didn’t stay in the hotel so can’t rate the hotel but the food! OMG! It was amazing! I’m just annoyed that my belly couldn’t take in anymore. Food was buffet styled and there was a reasonably stocked bar. I can happily say that I would remember this place and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the food.”

Travelodge Walton-On-Thames
● Open“Stayed here for a funeral. We had travelled from Devon. The location was great, staff friendly and helpful. The only thing I did find was a stain on the bed runner and cobwebs in several places in the room. It is attached to a lovely pub where we went in the evening for a couple of drinks.”

Travelodge Kingston Upon Thames Central
● Open“I was a little worried after reading previous reviews, but I needn't have been! Short walk from the station, greeted very warmly by Alizay who was an absolute joy. Given a choice of floors, so opted for 6 as figured it would be quiet. This is the business floor... Room was spotless, even a bit of a view from the window. No issues with getting in late after a gig, key card worked fine. I felt safe as a woman on my own. Comfy bed, great shower, and no rush to check out the next morning. Another lovely gent on reception. Would definitely stay again, easy quick walk to go look at some of the sights. Really can't find fault for the price.”

OYO St George Hotel
● Open115 Saint George's Drive, London SW1V 4DA, United Kingdom“Hotel is close to metro station and bus stations, so very easy to get in to city centre. The room was small and not as clean as I would expect but I really like the view from the top floor and atmosphere of the hotel. Bed was very comfortable and clean so we have a nice sleep and that's important. For me the best was roof terrace next to our room. Best place in hotel. Amazing views on London at any time of a day. I love it. All staff in a hotel was friendly and polite, they serve as nice, tasty english breakfast. If I got chance I would go back because of that hidden roof terrace and atmosphere of the hotel.”

Royal National Hotel
● Open“I needed a room at short notice and this hotel was the only one at a decent price (c£200) with good reviews. I was a bit apprehensive as when I arrived it was clear this was mainly a tour bus / tourist hotel rather than a business hotel. Its huge. The signage from the lift wasn’t clear so I ended up walking the entire 1st floor. There were three distinct corridor areas. City sleeper - corridor looked newly decorated. Middle - looked a bit tatty. Worse - very old and tatty. My room was in the ‘middle’ but I was very pleasantly surprised by the room. Newly decorated. Simple but everything you need. I slept very well. Bath and shower in room along with large bottles of hand wash, shampoo and body wash. Breakfast - there were signs up everywhere saying busiest 8-9am. I went at 7:45 and it was busy but manageable. Good range of cooked and continental breakfast. All in all for central London great value and had everything I needed for a comfortable night’s stay.”

Paramount Hotel
● Open“We stayed there for 15 days. We had "budget" rooms (35&36). Although the rooms were small, they were very clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was spotty but for the most part it worked. It is an old building so the carpet in the hallway is dated. But I love the old Victorian charm of the building. My only complaint is no lift so I had to haul my heavy luggage 4 flights of stairs. Grace, at reception, was very lovey and welcoming. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. No daily Housekeeping service but you can get towels and toiletries upon request. There is a Tesco near by to get snacks, food or any incidentals needed. I did take over the door hooks because I knew the room was small and those really helped. If you are from the United States, our hair dryers and flat irons do not work properly there even with the converters for the plugs. The room does come with the hair dryer that works very well as well as a fan. Although we were there in November when it was cold the room was still a bit warm so I kept my fan on and did open my window during the day for fresh air. They offer complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits in the reception area. Very cute backyard area to sit. Great location! Very close to the Earl Court station. Lots of places to eat and pubs in the area on Earl street. I really loved this hotel and will be staying here again on my next visit. They do have larger rooms if you need more space, however we were only in the room to sleep and shower. For me, the single budget room was perfect. Thank you to grace and the housekeeping staff for a lovely stay.”
