She'd always been scared about going to the vets, because of one bad experience with a man in scrubs when she was very young. She did not like it there at all (not even this one!). But one vet here, Claire, was the exception. It confused my girl so much, because she didn't like anything vet-related- it was like her gut was telling her not to like Claire, but she liked her anyway, and she couldn't figure out what was going on. My pup got really sick, and Claire was so, so, so good to her and to us humans. Claire spoke to us both kindly and honestly, there were no mixed messages or 'false hope'. I'm incredibly grateful for that. I needed the science of what was going on with my dog's body, and she gave it to me and answered all my questions fully which helped me a lot. My dogs were, and still are, my whole heart- and Claire and all the staff knew that for sure, and they all cared about them a lot too. I cannot recommend this practice enough, and I'll never be able to fully express how grateful I am, because it's so much that it's just simply impossible. Again, thank you. A thousand thank yous.”
