“Held my daughter's naming ceremony here and the service we received right from the first contact was brilliant. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient and always on hand when needed whilst giving us the space we needed to make the room our own . The food was really tasty with a great selection of sandwiches and savoury items. The cake was really yummy and there was plenty of it. There was plenty of tea and coffee too for all of our guests The room was clean bright and spacious and decorated beautifully with access to the outside patio and play area and we were able to bring our dog who enjoyed it as much as we did. I would really recommend hiring the room for your function as the staff made the whole process as pleasurable and stress free as possible leaving us time to enjoy our daughters special day. “Great park. Probably the best in the area to be honest. Long walks, great views and a real sense of being away from it all... even though it’s only 5 minutes away from the outskirts of Romford. Oh, plus the deer compound and the secret walled garden. Just to add to the allure!!! Update... they now have some new play equipment near the main car park. Fantastic!”

“Pleasantly surprised how well kept this park is. It’s certainly not impacted like the nearby Beam Valley park by drunks and littering. I love the little wooden sculptures popping up. Quite flat but so versatile with sectioned out structure and the pond in the middle. Pictures in early Mar, but still a nice walk.”

I help run a social club in Romford and this lovely little cafe is several of our club members favourite eatery. A family run business serving traditional Filipino cuisine that is so tasty that no words do it justice, but we're confident that you won't be disappointed if you go try for yourselves. “Over the years we have tried most things on their excellent menu and have loved everything! The bagettes,wraps and sandwiches are filled to the full with fresh tasty ingredients. The cafe has a friendly happy upbeat vibe with a varied menu for eating in or take away. The homemade cakes are really lovely and the large slice of cake is very fresh, moist and really good value. I've used the buffet service for parties, get together, funerals etc. The buffet is packed in covered dishes and everything is fresh and as tasty as the cafe menu and excellent value for money. Absolutely amazing food from starters to main, even the bread comes out soft, fresh & hot……the food was perfectly cooked to compliment the high quality of produce used…..I had liver starter & the mixed shish…..cannot praise the chef enough. “Review during Lockdown, July 2020: Almost felt like normal to go back to a pub again. Lovely welcome at the door from member of staff who was the monitor. The young chap explained the way it works of how to order through app. Some issues of some of the tables not appearing in the app or tickets not being closed but as this a new process for everyone quite understandable and staff kept their cool so customer service was of high level. They have tables outside - front and back. Would recommend booking if there is more than 2 of you. If you are not appy savy or the app doesn't work they still allow you to order from the bar as the app is not perfect and receipts are slow to be processed. Otherwise its super clean at all times and social distancing is being adhered to if you are looking for safe pub visit for punters of all ages over 18. They have one way system and show which tables are clean for use, just make sure your table isn't blocked for pre-booking to avoid being moved as the seating is cleaned down again. Sanitising stations available and toilets were clean during our visit. 3rd August: Archers is taking part in the Eat out to help out so don't delay...book ahead or if your local then just stop by if the app isn't working. First night out and its sad to see not many people taking up this offer but hoping people will take the plunge and get back to "normal" as its not heaving like most people believe it will be. Archers even give you the VAT off your drinks! How much more of a bargain can you get! Tables are kept clean and toilets have a system if you are worried. Have a night out and support your local pubs :)”

I can taste they clean the pipes regularly so the alcohol taste fresh, other pubs don't clean often and can notice the difference. I will definitely be returning due to great customer service and atmosphere.”

“The Drill opened its doors again today and I just popped over for a couple of drinks and a meal, both of which were excellent! I can't wait to sample the whole menu in the future. The new and old staff were super friendly and the manager Wayne was very welcoming and was clearly running a well oiled machine. Their social distancing measures seemed to be working well and it felt like a safe environment to relax in. Being a pub garden fan though I was most impressed with their refurbished garden - outstanding! See you again soon!”

Offered free drink by friendly staff from my accumulated points but disappointed that simply assumed I was taking out and served in cardboard cup (especially when customer's ahead had been served so carefully on a tray... Really handy location plenty of parking. Will return.”
