“I went here on a Saturday night to catch up with some friends I hadn't seen in a while. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, something people forget to appreciate. The food was as expected my only criticism was the menu was varied but items that were a particular type of meal weren't varied enough, the calzone had two options? They tasted great but would have liked a few different flavours.”

“This was probably the best place to have authentic Thai food. We ordered a Tom Yum and their signature Beef dish with some rice and the flavours were spot on. The family running this business are so friendly and lovely, and the decoration is so cute and gives the place such a comfortable feeling unlike a chain restaurant. I really do recommend going to this restaurant at least once to experience the atmosphere and delicious food!”

“Went there to try the caramel speciality which is vanilla sauce, caramel sauce latte. Was really tasty and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Very clean place and a lovely christmas vibe. Nice and warm inside with comfy seating. However the only one point I would like to add is, from observation I could see they are slightly under staffed and the wait time is roughly 10 minutes for a drink.”

“A warm and friendly pub with exceptionally nice staff (even to the point where the manager has checked that I am getting home all right - I was very touched), the Essex Arms is also notable for its monthly karaoke nights. The host, Gary Pryce, is a true professional, getting as many singers on as humanly possible, while giving supportive encouragement to anyone who has felt a bit nervous. Come on down and join the fun!”

“Very pleasant dining experience, we had booked a table in advance and we were shown to our table immediately, the service was very good without the waitresses bothering us, the food was excellently presented and it tasted beautiful whilst being competitively priced, very impressed and will try to go again when we are next in the area.”

“Situated on the main high street. A Wetetherspoons, an absolutely super range of lager, real ales and various other drinks on offer, the prices for selected ales can be as low as £2.50 a pint. There's an ample breakfast menu at very affordable prices. There is also a wide of main meals available and it seemed a daily special at lunchtime. To me, this establishment offered very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Brentwood.”

“Under new Ownership and Despite other negative reviews I have only ever experienced very friendly customer service. I usually collect as live close by but the guys knowing I could not get out due to my son being asleep were willing to deliver using there collection only offer which was a lovely gesture. We usually go for the thin based Pizzas and they are really good. Nice balance between dough, sauce and toppings, not too heavy. Overall this is a fantastic value pizza.”
