There's a real family feel there, I love how the management team are always available and know details of the children's day. It's well equipped, the menu is great and the location is handy for travel into London but, the relationship between the staff and the kids is the most important thing and I love how my son runs to his key worker for a hug most mornings.”

ArtsEd
● Open“Although it isn't cheap, ArtsEd musical theatre courses have been totally worth it. My 13 year old son happily goes every week and spends 3 hours (3 50 minute sessions with breaks) at Arts Ed on a Saturday morning with a dance, an acting, and a singing session. This term they performed Matilda and when I saw him perform I didn't recognise him. Everything had improved - acting, singing dancing, all of it. What's more, he really let himself go in a way he hadn't before and this can only be because of the encouragement and confidence given by his teachers.”

Northview
● Open“I had numerous issues with several letting agents with a property I was renting. I passed it on to Spiros and in five years himself and Elena have taken one less stress in my life. The rent has never been late once, any small issues they just deal with and put on my statement whereas bigger costs like when my boiler had to be replaced they contacted me first so I had the option to see if I could find it cheaper elsewhere. Top marks for Spiros and Elena......and mr William!”

Over the Rainbow Day Nursery
● Open“Our daughter has been attending Over The Rainbow Nursery for almost a year now. As a qualified social worker who has worked in child protection it was imperative that our daughter was placed in a happy environment where safeguarding is paramount and she would be encouraged to develop. Over The Rainbow have ensured that she settled in well and has a key worker who she felt secure and happy with. We receive regular updates with regards to her progression and it is clear to see that the staff are passionate and caring about the children. Our daughter has been taught so much, from learning to share and take turns to using cutlery to feed herself (all age-appropriate things). Our daughter runs into nursery each week and we are very pleased that she enjoys her time at the nursery. I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to anyone considering placing their child in daycare and wanted a secure and happy environment for their child.”

The Lord Herbert
● Closed47 Herbert Road, London SE18 3SZ, United Kingdom“New manager has already given this pub a lift. Friendly, clean and bright, lovely old building. During Covid, there's a simple but blinding 'substantial meal' of either a Plat du jour or a Ploughams at £4.00. Huge beer garden too, pending some tlc, but looking forward to sitting out there in the summer. I will 100% go back!”

-
Hornsey Vale Community Centre
● Open“This is a very historic yet humble place, reflecting the origins of the area, it's geography (a valley between the nearby hills), how it adapts to community needs and withstands tides of times and changes of ideology. It is a polling station, an adults services, kids taekwondo, and an auxiliary to a nearby Weston Park Primary, and a birthday and a wedding venue. It had been a family-friendly public restroom for users of Stationers Park (always clean, stocked and tidy) (though occasionally the doors are locked), source of fruit-veg deliveries from nearby farms to urban dwellers, and a habitat of gnomes. The only thing it does not do is clean the dog poo from the streets and host a dog toilet.”

Twickenham Tandoori
● Closed“I've been going to Twickenham Tandoori with friends and family for more than 10 years now. The food is reliably excellent, the atmosphere is typically buzzing. This is where people want to go on a Friday night after they've been for a few drinks further up Church Street. In summertime you can dine in the picturesque street outside, in wintertime you're cosy indoors. Well served by excellent staff. I will keep going to this place as long as its doors remain open. It is fantastic and I love it. I'm most certainly not alone.”

Osteria Mbare
● Closed“We visited for their new pasta masterclass and it was so much fun! The interior is beautiful, and we all had our own table with everything we needed. We made bruschetta and then delicious pappardelle as they led us through each step, while pouring us lots of Prosecco. I’d definitely recommend a visit, and we’ll be back to try their menu!”
