The Waffle Bar
“Visited yesterday approx 1pm on a Monday, as a couple, our first time, and it was excellent! Was really quite busy, which was great to see, but can also understand why. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, lovely design of the place and all crockery. Food was really fresh, perfectly priced and timed perfectly. Great menu, we had a tea each, bacon syrup waffles and chicken, pesto toastie. Nice range of ages in there too, friends getting together, family afternoon teas, couples and generally people out for lunch. 100% recommend, and will be back.”
Not So Indian
“The most delicious food I’ve had in a long time and at a very reasonable price for where they’re situated. I needed something to eat whilst staying in my hotel and it was between this place and the M&S Simply Food in the BP across the road. I am so happy I chose this place! I bought the Turkish Kebab Wrap and a bag of pakoras, they were both divine. The pakoras were the size of my fist almost and there were four of them. The wrap came with sumac, bell pepper, red onion, herbs and spices and it was so satiating and satisfying to eat. I also tried a rose flavoured Faluda drink to wash it all down and it was refreshing and smooth. The service was perfect, polite and swift. Truly a little gem of a place and if I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely be paying a visit.”
Delhi & Co
“I cannot praise this place enough! The kindness showed to me as a new customer was absolutely exceptional. I tried this places butter chicken and vegetable samosas, and it is the best butter chicken I have ever tasted. Shall definitely be back.”
Sabras
“Did the catering for my engagement. Everybody loved the food and the service was great. The garam monthar is out of this world. I ate it for 4 days straight after the event. The bateta nu saak and undhiyo received many compliments. The daar was perfect in terms of the consistency and flavour.”
P S V Cuisine
“Fantastic find, a cosy, simple, but lovely restaurant above a pub. Great choice of Laotian and other South East Asian dishes. Our table of 4 thoroughly enjoyed all starters and mains ordered. Very reasonably priced and attentive waiting staff.”
La Zingara
“Eight of us visited this lovely family run restaurant. Great Italian food and friendly staff. Nice place to eat, would return and recommend to others too.”
Ave Mario
“Brandishing a retro glam interior, this establishment is a feast for the senses. The decor is so creative and colourful, the smells are wonderful and will make you want for more and the background music is lively. They remain to be my favourite truffle pasta in all of London. The dessert and cocktails are quite the surprise too!”

“Very charming Italian restaurant, the atmosphere of the restaurant was also lovely, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. As a truffle head I had to go for the truffle pizza and pasta which were both very good. The truffle pasta was rich and flavorful, and the pizza was also top-notch, with a crispy crust and fresh ingredients. Make sure you have room for dessert, some may say it's too sweet but if you have a big sweet tooth like me you will love their lemon meringue pie. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine.”
La Follia Italian restaurant trattoria
“If you love truffles this is the place to be... Lovely restaurant with authentic Italian dishes... The truffle dishes are a must try worth lots of truffles grated over to get the full appreciation of its flavours, as well as the cotoletta alla milanese - a veal breaded cutlet, fried in butter (due to its shape, it is often called oreggia d'elefant in Milanese or orecchia d'elefante in Italian, meaning elephant's ear!)... With the lovely staff as well, this is well worth a visit!!!...”
Evening Kyiv
“Excellent hearty food and very tasty. No hesitations in ordering again, just good quality home style cooked food. The pork shish kebab is brilliant and the soup (Solyanka) is delicious.”
corrochio's
“A lovely small authentic Mexican restaurant and cocktail bar hidden down some stairs in the north end of Dalston. They have a small number of dishes, including tacos, enchiladas, huarache, huevos rancheros etc. that they do extremely well. They also do excellent cocktails including margaritas of course, as well as a large range of tequila, mezcal and sotol. A great place to bring your kids for lunch and friends for drinks later in the day! Main dishes are about £11 as are the cocktails so not super expensive either. Well worth a visit.”
Taca Tacos Deptford
“Daniel cooks a mean taco bar, I'll tell you what. The quote was competitive and had many options to choose from. He was on-time even given our very suspect directions. The food was fantastic, Daniel was super nice, and the entire experience was a huge hit with our group.”
Noble Palace
“I love this place for cocktails! Yes it is pricey and it is more for special occasions than an everyday place to go to. The decor is awesome, the staff is beyond polite and welcoming, well done. Their concept of cocktails menu is very intriguing, you choose an emotion from their book and they prepare the cocktail for you. Went twice and both times the drinks were original and very good.”
LOH Japandi Kitchen - Restaurant Liverpool Street
“Went in because i didnt see it before, new shop, japanesse with Scandinavian fusion, was puzzled at first but its amazing. Quick warm lunch donburi on office break, kinda works really well, still trying to figure out my favourite drink tho. Will come back for sure”
Boggi Milano
“A big thank you to Anjala for the magnificent service given during my recent visit! She is so well spoken, welcoming, polite, knowledgeable, hard working and her client care is beyond expectation! I left the store with such nice products which I did not notice but from her questioning she recommended such choices which were so suitable to me. If going to the store I recommend getting her help as it is so worth it! Anjala, you are so good at what you do! Thank you also to Eleonora; Manager, for your help and taking the time to come and introduce yourself! You were so helpful too!”
Tasty Greek Souvlaki
“One of the best Greek food restaurants in the area. I had dinner with a couple of friends and we really enjoyed our time there. The food was amazing, the waitress very professional and always with a smile and the environment was very friendly and it felt like I was really in Greece having dinner next to the sea. I 100% recommend it to whoever is in the area to try it out. PS. The drinks were amazing. Please try them out. You will not be disappointed.”
Ness' Cafe
“Welcoming atmosphere and delicious cooked breakfast. Highly recommend!”
The Mitre
“A fine traditional pub with an excellent range of real ales and cider. Cosy atmosphere, proper fire and friendly dog. Landlord happy to discuss beer choices, aiming for a range of beer styles and from outside London. Worth seeking out - it's hard to find and has limited opening hours.”
The Bird & Barrel
“Popped in after a trip to the theatre, finished the day off lovely. Had a very warm welcome and chat while trying out a few of the recommended gins. Will definitely be going back.”
Chaps Den
“Great cut, have been back here at least 5 times and will continue to go. Friendly, knowledgeable and all round great service.”
Blue Gum Tree Bistro Cafe Bar
“Absolutely loving place, certainly a goto in the neighbourhood! Family owned, a cute sea side-ish vibe, made me feel like holidaying. Tried the brunch Eggs Royale that were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended, certainly a place to go back to!”
Natasha's Flowers
“My sister lives in London (UK) and I live in Vancouver (Canada). I contacted Natasha regarding delivering a bouquet of flowers to my sister for her birthday. Natasha assembled an incredibly beautiful bouquet (I was sent pictures), was clear and regular in her communications, and made the payment process simple. It's a bit nerve wrecking submitting a payment to a stranger overseas, but the whole process was professional. I will definitely contact her again for future flower deliveries.”
Fireaway Holloway
“We were on our trip from Germany in London. We went to Fireaway with amazing pizza and chicken wings. The owner Malaika and the cook Mohammad were very sweet and lovely person. Love to go back to them”
Don Arancini - The Italian Pizza Restaurant & Delivery
“We challenged Don Arancini to convince us that his Arancini was better than the Supli we had in Rome a few years back. In a word... convinced! The Porcini Mushroom & Béchamel was easily the best Arancini we’ve ever had. Can’t recommend highly enough!”
The Rising Sun
“Family run Sushi restaurant which is the best, freshest sushi you will ever try. It is very popular so you have to get your orders early. I've been coming here for many years and the food is always 5 Star. Great quality and lovely people.”
Chez Melissa
“Nice ambiance and really tasty and fresh food. The staff is very helpful to inform about any food queries and allergies. We had a good time here for weekend brunch. Must visit place.”
Reis Grill & Bar
“I recently dined at Reis Grill and bar and had the pleasure of ordering the T-bone steak, which was an excellent choice. The steak was cooked to perfection, with a beautiful crust on the outside and juicy, tender meat on the inside. The flavours were exceptional, with hints of herbs and spices that complemented the meat perfectly. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff members eager to provide recommendations and ensure that all of our needs were met. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and the dining experience overall. I would 100% this restaurant!”
Zig Zag Cafe
“I'm a regular here and the service is always lovely. Everyone is so kind, friendly and polite. The owner is really attentive towards his customers and makes sure they aren't missing anything from their dining experience. I love the vibe of the cafe and the music always fits my taste. The only issue is that I feel guilty staying longer to finish my work when the busy hours start since there is limited seating and I don't want to hinder their business. It would be nice if in the future there was another floor for additional seats.”
Gee Gee’s Cafe & Bistro / Party Spaces
“A quaint bistro hidden amongst stables, not the easiest of places to get to on foot, the driveway up is riddled with potholes and uneven if you are disabled so be careful, but there is a ramp descent after entering the cafe which is good. The cafe is really tastefully furnished, very mid-western, the breakfast was an enormous plate of food cooked extremely well. Good italian menu offerings. We will be back in the future the host was very welcoming.”
