“Everything was impeccable at Kampai. I came with a large party and we ordered so many different items off of the menu and absolutely everything was delicious . I really have to recommend the yum salmon and spicy gesos but I have to say everything was great. Normally I much prefer nigiri over sashimi but the fish quality is to a high standard and all the sashimi and sushi is delicious . The taro ice cream dessert is a must try too. Service was fast and staff were friendly , I would definitely recommend .”

“It is absolutely amazing and wonderful quality of ingredients. People are so welcoming and the venue is very clean and insta-style. The price might be seemed a bit expensive compared to something like wasabi, but when you eat it, you would know why. The ingredients are so fresh and the staff never cheat on foods. Try it and you’d never be able to stop coming here. I tried Earlsfield roll, crunchy roll and tempura udon. The Earlsfield roll contains silver cod and it disappears when you put it on your mouth.”

“Eddie and his wife Evvie (?) were the perfect hosts. Two of our group were gluten free and we rang ahead and discussed our food options with Eddie ahead if time. We were super confident that there was no cross contamination and they took our dietary requirements seriously. That aside , the food was amazing! Fresh, flavourful and just so tasty. I was a tad sceptical about this place in comparison to a London restaurant but I have to honestly say it may well have been better in flavour, service mist definitely was friendly and personable. Very much coming back!!! Thank you !!”

“Popped in just to taste some sushi. It was soooo good I ended up ordering some crunchy tempura rolls. I will go back again for more now I know they have opened and I made sure to take their menu. Reasonable prices and really good quality plus very friendly people. It ticks all the boxes.”

“Brilliant little sushi and Japanese grocery shop that is a family staple for us - we have been treating ourselves to their food every Friday for the last couple of years (and other times here and there as well). Naomi is a fantastic chef, sushi is lovely and also find out when they do hot food and check it out. Freezers are also full of little treats you can take away and enjoy at home, from green tea ice cream to mochis, to edamame and kimchi. You may also find hand made cards, little gifts like ceramic cups or special chopsticks, or other surprises - just check it out! You won’t be disappointed!”

“Delicious food. Reasonable cost. We got donburi salmon teriyaki and veg curry. Reasonable portions. From the pictures I thought the crockery might be in plastic containers but the food was served in very tasteful japanese ceramics which makes a difference to me to the dining experience. Very delightful pretty surroundings. We were the only ones there, seems like leytonstone is pretty quiet for dining. They are not properly appreciated here! In central London I'm sure they'd be packed. We were there from 6.30-7.30pm or so. There were 2 deliveries collected whilst we were there and 1 guy who came for a take away. Seems more popular for take aways which is a shame as it's a lovely looking restaurant.”

“JET sushi is truly a hidden gem. The food is delicious with great variety and freshness. The scallop sashimi is a must-have; it is delicately prepared and melts in the mouth. There are also a good number of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The owner is really sweet and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, service prompt and the food is extremely good value for money. If you're a sushi fan, you should definitely visit.”

“Went in because i didnt see it before, new shop, japanesse with Scandinavian fusion, was puzzled at first but its amazing. Quick warm lunch donburi on office break, kinda works really well, still trying to figure out my favourite drink tho. Will come back for sure”

“What an experience. By far the best service we’ve had in London restaurant. Service was exceptional and the waiters were knowledgeable. All dishes were cooked to perfection. Cocktails were not the best in my opinion but this is just a personal taste. They were well made but didn’t hit the mark for me. Regardless everything else from the sashimi to deserts were worth the price”

“Second time in two weeks. First time, brothers birthday. Second, with work colleagues. Alex is a warm and attentive host with newbies(of Japanese cuisine), staff are genuinely supportive and informative about the stunning and tasty dishes. Also grateful for the recommendations to other bars in Amersham (The Beech house). Koyo is a worthy Japanese SUSHI experience, please book as space is limited. Food is freshly made and competitively priced. Alcohol is available, traditionally Japanese beers and wines as well as quality champagne and fine wines. Located 8mins walk from the Metropolitan train station. Though myself being a little lazy came by taxi from Uxbridge. Certainly worthwhile.”
