“We decided to eat Sunday dinner at Spicy Village. The ambience of the place was magical. The place was fully packed so we had to wait in the queue to get a table. Our food was extremely delicious, served in timely manner, well portioned and reasonably priced. The staff was attentive, dedicated to customers, helpful and polite. Will definitely recommend to anybody as the one of the best Pakistani places in Tooting.”

“Found this place based on reviews. We were visiting London for the weekend and wanted to check out Soho. We didn't make reservations and the wait was insane. We ended up being seated at 9:30 pm on Saturday night. The food was pretty good. The ox heart laap was very spicy but flavorful. Cumin beef skewer was amazing. The mackerel salad and reddish salad were great too. The glass noodles was a little underwhelming but still tasty. The best part is the vibe. Love the bar seating. It's cozy and intimate. y I love that you can watch food being prepared from the kitchen.”

“Extremely nice dinner. The food cannot be tastier and the amount is perfect for a person who likes eating as much as I do! The atmosphere was great but the indoor space was a bit too loud because of the acoustic nature of the room. However, I would definitely repeat and recommend it!”

“Delicious Italian in luxurious decor with proper service. We came without booking and were seated downstairs in the basement which was beautifully decorated with candle lit settings. Food was superb, we had the daily special pasta with prawns (prawn favour fully infused the pasta), the Capricciosa pizza with mozzarella, ham, artichoke and olives (thin, chewy base grilled to perfection) salad (fresh) and tiramisu (one of the best I’ve had - not heavy or too sweet). Wonderful experience, highly recommend”

“GREAT vegan and gluten free options. They made a vegetable based ravioli that was truly delicious, the chef had clearly put a lot of attention into it. For gluten eaters - the homemade pasta was truly delicious in every dish we ordered. Wine - great, you can tell it's what they do. It's pricier than your neighbourhood italian: count 30 pp for main and wine. However, for the quality (gastronomic) its great value.”

“The food was very good. Friendly waiters. Wait was not too long. We had a booking. The menu changes regularly. The highlight for me was the agnolotti – pork cheek & porcini butter. The pasta and the meat were cooked perfectly, and the accompanying sauce was amazing as well. The other two I really liked were the octopus with paprika and the calamari with the white sauce - very tasty as well. The crab spaghetti were alright. For dessert, the rosemary, olive oil, almond cake was a very good blend of savoury and sweet tastes (I was excited when I saw it was with olive oil). Overall, strong recommendation for the place!”

“Booked the group dining room for my birthday, Grace who I liaised with to make the booking was super helpful and answered all my questions. The dining room itself is beautiful and perfect for group dinners/celebrations. The service was amazing from the start, all the staff were lovely, super helpful and accommodating. We all had the seasonal tasting menu, it’s great because there’s no faffing around with everyone ordering they just start bringing out the food. Food was great and was brought out in a timely manner, we were all stuffed by the end of it you get so much food for £70 tasting menu!! I had a birthday cake that I wanted to cut up and give out to my guests to take home and they gave me food boxes for this and also packed up the left over food we had for us to take home. Overall a lovely experience, would definitely recommend. Great food and great service.”

“I was recommended this place via the Michelin guide and the experience itself was pretty good. I think the overall experience would definitely improve if the weather was better as it was 30°C and there was no air conditioning at all. We were seated upstairs and we thought it would be cooler but we were incubating in the sun the whole meal. We all got a 2 course meal with 2 sides. In the attached pictures you'll see that we picked the starters, soya marinated salmon, chicken parfait, and lobster raviolo. For the mains we picked, chicken breast, salmon fillet, and the beef wellington. The starters all had a pretty strong salty taste to them that we might not be that used to but the mains were absolutely delicious. We had a bad experience with the lobster raviolo as we found multiple shell pieces. The chicken breast was tender and nicely cooked, the salmon was juicy and the puree complimented it well, the beef wellington honestly had such good flavor just by itself without the puree but with it added it was phenomenal. Another thing we noticed is that the menu shown online is actually different from the menu that we saw in the restaurant so the online version will probably need an update so people can look ahead into what they can order.”

“Review during Lockdown, July 2020: Almost felt like normal to go back to a pub again. Lovely welcome at the door from member of staff who was the monitor. The young chap explained the way it works of how to order through app. Some issues of some of the tables not appearing in the app or tickets not being closed but as this a new process for everyone quite understandable and staff kept their cool so customer service was of high level. They have tables outside - front and back. Would recommend booking if there is more than 2 of you. If you are not appy savy or the app doesn't work they still allow you to order from the bar as the app is not perfect and receipts are slow to be processed. Otherwise its super clean at all times and social distancing is being adhered to if you are looking for safe pub visit for punters of all ages over 18. They have one way system and show which tables are clean for use, just make sure your table isn't blocked for pre-booking to avoid being moved as the seating is cleaned down again. Sanitising stations available and toilets were clean during our visit. 3rd August: Archers is taking part in the Eat out to help out so don't delay...book ahead or if your local then just stop by if the app isn't working. First night out and its sad to see not many people taking up this offer but hoping people will take the plunge and get back to "normal" as its not heaving like most people believe it will be. Archers even give you the VAT off your drinks! How much more of a bargain can you get! Tables are kept clean and toilets have a system if you are worried. Have a night out and support your local pubs :)”

“a well stocked supermarket with plenty of variety. it has it's own parking which is free for 1.50 hours, just be mindful though as it is very narrow to get between the floors. conveniently situated in the centre of the town.”

The food was fantastic, we shared a Camembert cheese box which was yum, I had a 50 day aged filet steak and it was cooked perfectly and just as I’d ordered. We then shared the gigantic chocolate fudge cake and gigantic is the right word! It was huge!”

“Favourite pizza chain! Love the sourdough base and that they have a very good white pizza on the menu! I feel that the size has shrunk or that there are fewer toppings but the pizzas are still good value for quality. Came here a few times for dine in and take away. One time they accidentally gave me someone else’s order. I didn’t realise until I got home. Got a call from the manager to apologise and help us sort out everything. Great customer service!”

“Excellent kebabs at a very reasonable price. Eat here most days. The chicken Shawarma sandwich is a regular item for me. Love it. The grilled chicken tikka and lamb skewers are the best around and the traditional bread it awesome. The bread it cooked onsite in front of you for absolute freshness. Get Turkish tea to wash it down. All served with side salads and sauces. The Hummus is again the best around with fresh flat bread.... and not on the menu for you can ask for it is the Tzatziki. I highly recommend this place.”
